Hey look, Sony is giving every one a free 30 day trial to PSN Plus.
could do without. too poor to take advantage of any of the discounts, and any free ps+ games will lock you out when the trial ends. i'm a little curious about the other freebies, but it doesn't change the fact that they let my cc info out into the wild.

i did request my new card, at least.

and now SOE has lost another few million peoples' info as well.

And after four weeks, PSN is finally back online. Cheers.

slowly, it's still not up in my state according to the psn blog's map.

but it is good to see it coming back. still very miffed about having to get a new credit card and change a few other passwords.

And your reward for staying loyal to them is a very nice time trial of there "premium" online services. Once the time limit runs out, most of what what you've done/acquired during that time limit becomes inaccessible until you pay them money, nice.

i cleaned up portal 2's single player achievements, and made one run through heavy rain during the outage. after DA:O, i'll be spending a bit of time being a man about town in l.a. i'm glad psn came back before that launch, since ps3 users have an exclusive mission, as does the walmart copy i'll be picking up.

although once my xbox was replaced, i never touched the ps3 until i heard the psn was back up.
