Final Fantasy XII release date + collector's edition info

October 31, 2006 will be the day it'll come out in the United States. European gamers will have to wait, sadly. The collector's edition will include special packaging and a bonus DVD filled with goodies.

It would be great if we could get it by Christmas, although it's unlikely, I suppose. That'll be the only time I'll be able to play it.

The combat system takes some serious getting used to, but you have far more control over it. Its more like a third person shooter than an RPG. I rather liked it, I think.

Its been a while since I tried the demo. But, damn, they squeeze a lot of juice out of the PS2. Its pretty.

they use half as many polygons as ffx, they just texture better. tricky tricky.

i also heard the demo doesn't really communicate the combat system that well.

Now if only Square-Enix would let us europeans have a stab at the demo, instead of pushing the actual release date further back.

It's a good thing it's pushed back, we're gonna be busy enough late october anyway, dood.
And after we're done through disgaea 2 some twenty times, it'll be Wii release.

They could put it off until summer 2007 for all I care.

i actually quite like the battle system. I havent been able to try out the AI system though since I couldn't understand Japanese at all, but i like the base battle system
