Save Directories?

Post by Silver Fox »

Sup

How can I make my own save directory for game saves? The program seems to automatically save files in with my ROMs.

This has been pissing me off enough to register here and ask. Any help appreciated thanks.

What is awful about Snes9x? It's slow on weaker machines, but is quite good otherwise.

The Zsnes team and Snes9x team are pretty close and do recommend each others emulators when their's don't do so well in a certain area. (Example: On the Snes9x board, you will see people recommend Zsnes for netplay, and here you will see people recommending Snes9x for Star Ocean.)

Some people like me also work on both emulators.

SRM files are interchangeable(sp?) between the two emulators.
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

I don't think that was a question. He wasn't sure of his spelling for 'interchangable'.

That's not SaveRAM, dumbass. That's battery-backed RAM, also known as Static RAM.

Save ram is a common colloquiliasm for files carrying that extension. Even though it's technically the incorrect term, the same meaning is conveyed. There's no need to insult him over something so trivial...

Silver Fox mentioned the config files. The "SaveDirectory" variable is defined inside the plain-text file "zsnesw.cfg" for ZSNES Win. Because the file is plain-text (ASCII-formatted), you can open it with notepad or another plain text editor and work with it there.
