Battletoads & Double Dragons (US) freezes.

Post by Annihilated »

File: Battletoads & Double Dragon - The Ultimate Team (U) [!].smc Header: Yes
BATTLETOADS D.D. TYPE:NORMAL
INTERLEAVED:No CHKSUM:OK
VIDEO:NTSC BANK:Lo CRC32:8B18AC01

After the game loads, the intro screens are displayed, and then when the title is supposed to come up, nothing happens. This has been occurring since at least 1.43 up to 1.51. The European version works fine.

A recent SVN revision had a comment along the lines of "Fixed BT&DD", so I guess this problem may already be solved.

Really? I didn't see a WIP release since the official one.

if you are reffering to WIP builds like at IPHER'S WIP SITE, then no there haven't been any, but if you go over to the bountysource ZSNES site you can find out how to compile the latest SVN yourself, which is updated even more frequently.

SVN (SubVersioN) is different from WIP... I won't get into details though, but let's just say that you must compile SVN yourself (using zget), and SVN is more up to date than WIPs, as you get the very latest version available.

Anyway... You'd better wait for the new sound core to work before considering updating to the latest version.

I can confirm that the game works fine using the latest stable SVN version (r4538).
