Same here. i still haven't finished Dragon Quest VIII. Either that games is long, or I'm a slow player.Clements wrote:If they are released in English, yes. Dragon Quest 8 is probably my favourite PS2 game. I haven't played any of the earlier DQ games before 7 (if that makes me a n00b, then so be it)
I've played VIII last year and am now going through the first three in their gameboy color renditions, the only way to play em as I see it. I can't stand opening a menu every time I want to open a door, go down stairs, talk, etc. and since this is removed in the GBC versions then it is MUCH easier.
after that I can play 4, 5, and 6 on the DS and then I'll just have to play 7 and 9 when it comes.

I'm a big fan of the Dragon Quest series, I will certainly get these if they are translated. I've played through the excellent Dejap translation of DQ5, but DQ6 was not exactly finished (it would often crash). To have it in official form would be great. I also would enjoy playing through DQ4 again, it was certainly one of the best NES games.
<pagefault> i'd break up with my wife if she said FF8 was awesome

The DQ4 remake site is now live. Some screenshots of the remake is also available. I'm amazed they're using two screens to actually draw the entire game.

you would hope so, otherwise why would you buy it, just to be portable? bah, it's good that it's better, they are prolly working really hard with the engine they're making for DQ IX
