Random menu and star piece award lockups with SMRPG

Post by shentino »

I have the latest version as of two weeks ago.

Problem is it locks up when you're assigning a weapon or armor to one of your characters. And an unavoidable lockup occurs after you get the jonathan jones star piece.

Here's a link to the rom in question:

poop

The checksum is good, so I doubt the rom is corrupt. However, someone might have tampered with it and fixed the checksum, so I linked to the rom itself just in case.

Don't post links to ROMs. The ROM is good, but that doesn't really matter at the moment, since SA-1 emulation isn't perfect and random crashes can occur in ZSNES (especially some newer versions).

Use Snes9x for now for SA-1 games for less headaches until SA-1 emulation is straightened out in ZSNES.

I'm running Fedora 7.

anyway two questions...

Has 1.42 worked better than the latest for SA-1?
And...

Does snes9x work on Linux?

Probably.

Have you actually checked out the Snes9x website?

ive played through mario RPG in zsnes 1.42 from start to end through all secret places without the use of cheat codes and it worked fine. well the dialogs jitter when text is appearing, but that is a tiny issue.
