Depends on what machine I end up buying, but it's definetly something I'll get.

Maybe I'll get it once the inevitable PC port shows up.

I'll probably get it eventually got the pc as well, unless I see a huge price drop in consoles at some point before then.
I bring the trouble.

i wonder how long a pc port will take.

it took a year or so for san andreas to go from ps2 to xbox, was there another delay before the pc release?

it's possible that the XNA tookit might make the transition quicker, assuming that's what marketing would want.

Wikipedia is telling me the xbox and pc versions of S.A. dropped together (I guess I'll assume that's true, maybe I'll google harder), so anything's possible. Of course, they'll probably take longer on this one to perfect things like netplay and such.
I bring the trouble.

I'd get it if I had one of the two systems. Multiplayer looks very fun.

I'd get it, but I don't have a PS3 nor a 360.
Thing is, I'm not sure whether to get a PS3 or a 360. 360 is no doubt the best choice, but Metal Gear Solid 4 is only coming out on the PS3...
And Final Fantasy XIII...

the choice is yours. and i think nor was a wrong choice. the whole double negative thing.

i'm a few hours in, and loving it. chased down a few guys, went on some dates, got some "warm coffee," rooftop chase complete with building hopping and everything, gunned down some jamaicans, good times.

i've only played the other three briefly, and never got too deep into any of them.

A friend bought the PS3 version. The game doesn't really look that breathtaking, but then again I haven't played it that much. There's one thing, and that it sometimes freezes during cutscenes.

i haven't had that issue, and the fact that each character doesn't look straight out of gears or something is understandable, given the size of the game.

i do like the painted look they put on the textures, though. still, a fun experience

The disc is damaged. Some models don't load and the game crashes constantly.

Worse... It's a fucking import...

I'd love to get GTA4 but I don't have a PS3 or a 360. Also I live in Australia and the censorship laws in this country are rubbish. We have an R18 rating on our movies but our video game rating only goes up to MA15+, which means that any game that goes over that rating is either banned or censored down to MA15+.
I could get it imported in, but that sounds like too much of a hassle and once again, I don't have a PS3 or a 360.

Indeed. In a way, that's worse than the situation in Germany.

It doesn't matter about the australia's policy on age ratings for games.

PS3's are region free for gaming. so you could get the japanese version of a game and play it on a european ps3.

and I'm pretty sure there are many sites that ship games worldwide to customers.

Why would you get the Japanese version? It'll be censored, unlike the US version.

Not really. How long has importing japanese games and playing them on your console been one of the holy grails of gaming?

It doesn't have to be 100% related to the original topic if it's an example of a broad enough subject, such as importing any game.

Lacking an example game title, the most logical frame of reference for the example would be GTA4.

Importing the J version of GTA4 would be all kinds of stupid.

It was a poor example, and the point stands. :P
