Looks like they won't botch the English tranlstion or voice overs at all: http://www.dsfanboy.com/2008/06/01/fina ... aks-to-us/ Good news for sure!

The CGs are so good that it makes the game look real bad. It makes you wonder what would happen if FFIV where to be remade on the PS3 or even PS2 instead.

Your typos have a better sense of humour than you do, man. Something's not quite right about that.

I'm just saying they've actually made a decent translation of FFIV for a change!

I take it you've not played the PSX or GBA versions?

Yes I have, and I didn't like the PSX version because of poorly emulated music and overly-muffled sound effects (i.e. the cursor sound), not to mention the long loading times it took to get into the menu. I've played FFIV DS before (don't ask how) and from what I've seen, it's awesomet. Good translation, nice FMVs and voice overs.

I quoted the wrong post. I meant to quote the post where you said the game hadn't had a good official translation yet.

That, too. The original/PSX FFIV didn't have the best translation and now it does.

Classic! I wonder if the DS port has that phrase just for the heck of it...?

I picked this up yesterday. Had it on pre-order. Anyone else get this? They did leave the spoony bard line in there. It seems to me that this game is more difficult than the advance version.

My pre-order arrived yesterday, but I'm finishing FF6 Advance first. (I'm ready to beat the Floating Continent, but I'm harvesting Rages first.)
Why yes, my shift key *IS* broken.

I picked it up yesterday, and I am getting my ass thoroughly kicked by the Mom Bomb. Despite the fact you level up quicker than in the previous incanations, the enemies are just that much harder.
