Just downloaded SMRPG for my Wii :D

900 Wii-points is a little steep, but its a hellova lot cheaper than the $50us that I paid for my hard copy....

Oh yeah, on that note: Have you guys noticed that Nintendo have made SMB2 (aka: The Lost Levels) available again on the shop channel? And yes. I downloaded that too
Hardware means nothing if you don't have good software.

Wasn't it only available for a short time?

A bit oversimplifying. Some chips can be dealt with, but not others.

in theory, do such thing possible:
  • (create a program to:) convert vc roms image into snes roms image ?
    or other-way around?
the vc roms image in question is which they came from snes in first place.
I've heard of programs that convert ROMS to .WADs, but....
Rom injection into WADs. It's awesome. :D

Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, and the Final Fantasy's are especially fun.

Well I haven't tried every special chips and I can't confirm if it's a hard rule but so far it seem to hold true in all the cases I've seen. Pilotwings/DSP-(1?) doesn't have the two extra connectors: works, Star Ocean and Yoshi Island do: nothing.

Does the C4 control ROM access?
That's the only possible exception I can think off offhand.

I keep thinking SA1 games don't have the side tabs, then checking my Mario RPG cart and seeing the side tabs.

It might be safe to say that at least a few games with the extra pins use pin 1, the master clock. Super Gameboy uses this, and also the RAM refresh signal, as well as the audio inputs for its sound output. It runs without the pins connected, but video and audio output are missing.

Right.

But are there any coprocessors that use the side tabs(even just the clock signal) AND don't control ROM access, enabling them to be used as a "passthrough" on a copier?
