 MAC OS X
Hey,
I downloaded a ROM from online to my MAC OS X, but now I can't figure out how do get it on ZSNES because I can't find it on the ZSNES toolbar. I don't know where the downloads go.
Can someone give me a hand?
Thanks

you should hear yourself
zsnes uses a file dialog like any other program
the ".." means go up one level, if that helps

If you don't know where you saved the ROM image, you have a problem.
Use the MacOS search function to find it.

You guys don't need to be tools about this.
I just cannot find the download in the toolbar, enough said.
Does anyone have any ideas where to go?
For example, I put the RAM file on my desktop, but there is no desktop link to clip on in the toolbar.
Can someone just help, please.

we're not tools
we're making fun of you because you can't navigate your computer without quick links

There's a search function in Mac OS X. Use it.

We're not making fun of you. Well, I'm not. Sweener's being snarky, but still helping.
WE don't have ANY idea where YOU saved a file.
Apparently, you saved it to the desktop. I don't know what directory the desktop is on a Mac, so that doesn't do me a lot of good.
I am not a Mac user. I know nothing about toolbar clipping or whatever.
I know how to work a file browser like the one contained in ZSNES' open dialog, though. Apparently you don't. And there appears to be a fundamental disconnect. You either don't understand what we're saying, or are actively blocking it out because it's not "how you use a Mac."
If I knew you in-person, I could show you a whole new world of computer stuff.
But I don't, and I doubt my ability to explain the filesystem construction to you without showing you how it works, especially since you're using an OS that has unfamiliar tools. I don't even know what the Mac file manager is CALLED.

it's called finder. [/pedantry]
the directory structure is mostly standard unix-ish. ~/Desktop for the desktop, with home usually being /Users/ username

 hmm
Usually safari downloads file to downloads folder (can be seen in the dock)... while if you saved your file through that browse window and got lost, no comments...
I'm on hackintosh, really didn't see much of difference browsing pattern of WIN and OSX. Another possibility, it must be RARed??? or compressed in format that zsnes can't see? I just can't think of Ram file and download in toolbar? hehe

That's a good possibility. Several people distribute ROMs in rar/7z archives.
@jew213: if that's the case, you must convert them to a supported format before you'll be able to load them in zsnes.

Simply unrar/un7z the ROM image, put it in the /ZSNES.app/ or your "*User*/Application Support/Zsnes/" folder, browse to that folder inside ZSNES and load the image by doubleclicking.
Also you should be more polite if you want help...
...and you really have to learn how to express yourself. Nearly all terms are incorrect.
