I played BG&E HD when it was new and didn't have a crash bug.

Seriously, it's a straight port of the PC version, just with gamepad support implemented.
...
Ah well, at least they brought part of the website back online.

amazon left us a gift last night; got to open it when I got home from work ~11PM.

first impression of 3DS is more or less what reviews have said. 3D effect is (really) cool, although headache-inducing if you're fatigued. start/home/select buttons are annoying. stylus placement is obnoxious, and the stylus itself is slightly loose when extended. it supports WPA2, thank god. the 3d camera is a neat gimmick, but mii creation via the front camera is beyond useless.

we don't have any games yet; my gf's the early adopter who actually bought the system, and i'm perfectly happy with SSF4 on PS3. i haven't had a chance to play any regular DS games on it yet.

further impressions to follow when i get a chance to really play with it.

oh, and p vs z is more popcrack. (yeah, i know i'm late to the party there.) i'm playing that on PS3.

besides that, working on DW (nes, original, nesoid lite is quite fantastic) - already have everything except for rescuing the princess, l23 grinding to 30. going to see what happens when you beat the game without rescuing her, and then what happens if you beat the game while carrying her.

And I've been exposed to the emulation community too much, I thought Pachuka vs. Zophar.

a few graphics have been spruced. i can't get my steam copy to play well (flicker never goes away no matter what settings i toggle), and the gamepad support is pretty terrible. if i had my original xbox with me, i'd just play that. the copy from GoG works well, but i felt bad about that, since i hadn't paid for it.

the pc version is a console port, so it's not like it's an alpha race game. just playing it the way it was intended.

and plants vs. zombies is amazing. bought that on pc and xbox. beat campaign on both, 70+ flags of survival endless on both. co-op and versus on consoles is pretty fun as well.

It's a shame the PC version wasn't MORE of a console port. Decent gamepad support would've done it a world of good.

I was gonna buy BG&E HD until I heard about the crashing bug.
So I fired up my XBox 1 instead, and remembered that parts of BG&E have a kinda choppy frame rate on it.

I played with a friend's 3DS and loved it. The built-in stuff is very fun. I think I played with the included AR cards more than my friend's copy of SSFIV 3D. That stuff is addicting.

without saving her, the ending ends as soon as you refuse to take over. carrying her, at that point she pops up next to the king and the ending proceeds as per norm.

just started BoF2 on the train. snesoid lite handles it beautifully (on an HTC G2, at least) and supports soft-patching, to boot.

Angry Birds on the PS3. Just had to see what the fuzz was about.
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?

A well-made time waster. Simplicity at its finest, really. A lot of content for a game that's only a 17MB Minis game.

And shit, were you talking about Plants vs. Zombies? I only just thought of that game reading the topic now.

(I have the MO3 file ripped from the game, but that's about it. It takes several seconds to unpack and load here. 1.66MB zipped, 2.13MB unpacked from the zip, and 19.8MB with the MO3 compression removed. Not terribly impressive for 19.8MB, at that.)

indeed.

angry birds is also on my phone. android version is free (ad-supported). there's an ad-banner in the upper right every time you start a stage, which goes away after 10 seconds or so. mostly unobtrusive unless you're aiming for something hidden in the far upper-right OR you're using one of those damn green boomerang birds. and i agree with Agozer's sentiments on the game itself.

Forza 2. I bought my IRL car, pimped my ride, and... proceeded to total it repeatedly.

Earth Defense Force 2017, again and as always. EDF! EDF! EDF!
3 stages from having Hardest cleared. Missing one gun aside from the Hardest and Inferno clear bonuses.

Quite so.

Managed to beat Uncharted 2 on Hard (moments before taking three grenades to the face). Can't wait for the unceremonious bitchslap-fest that is the Crushing difficulty.

P.S. My PSN ID is made of obvious.

+1 to that, Uncharted is easily in my top 5 for PS3 exclusives.
