Not sure if the current emulator or any other will do this, but i am attempting a 4 player race. I want to run 4 emulators with the same game.
The main problem I run into seems to be with Windows and how it runs input into a specific program. I can play on controller #1 on zsnes #1 and its fine. The other controllers and other emulators simply do not work unless i select that instance of emulator. They are still running in the background they just wont do anything. I am not sure if what i want is even possible. I googled for a while and the only info i could find was a person that wanted to play two emulators at once with the same controller.
<-What I tried\found so far->
-- I can run 4 emulators at once without lag.
-- Sound is not an issue cause we are just gonna turn it off.
-- Pause emu in background is not selected.
-- Trap mouse cursor is not selected.
-- Allow multiple instances of emu is selected.
-- I have 4 usb controllers working and set up separately for each emulator all tested and work.
Any info would be awesome good or bad.
Trying to run 4 zsnes for multiplayer race. Window trouble

Under Windows, at least, background input is broken - so it's not possible to do what you want. Even if it did, randomness in the core would likely cause desyncs between the different instances (just like it does in ZMVs and netplay).
Snes9x accepts input while in the background, though - give it a try there.

Why yes, my shift key *IS* broken.

*Update*
Snes9x Does in fact work.
You have to run four seperate emulators
You have to have four seperate folders with all the data inside them. (Using the same files will conflict with your controller settings)
Havent had any desync troubles yet, but i cant run all four by myself.
Thanks for all the help Odditude
