Mario RPG [Possibly Other Games] Sound gleeks.
Hoi. I know this has probably been asked before... but I tried a search and found no solutions so far.
System::
MSI k7n2 delta mainboard [nForce drivers]
ati radeon 9600 pro
amd athlon 2600+
120 gig western digital hd
1gig geil ddr pc3200
My problem is that with certain sounds such as when i use super jump, i get crazy noisy sounds instead of the original jump sound. the strange thing is that it only happens sometimes. if anyone knows if this is just a rom problem and could point me to a good one[note::not a rom request], or i'm an idiot and am missing an option in the sounds, that would be awesome.
thanks dudes

Standard question: Are you using the latest WIP? Providing checksum of the rom image would be nice.

Well, knowing how you configured the sound in zsnes might help.
In case you've missed the menu, it's CONFIG->SOUND.
The snes-accurate settings are 32000Hz samples, gaussian interpolation and no low-pass filter.

Except for some rare flicker issue I never had any trouble the last time I played it.

Crc32 for dummies:
Load a game.
Open your eyes and read the bottom-right part of the screen.
Like:
Ain't there a log file created storing everything about the latest game loaded ?
Nach added this iirc...
Found it: rominfo.txt, located in your save directory.
You can get the crc32 from this file too, if you can't copy it from the screen.

You want to turn on gaussian. When you start the game, it creates a file called rominfo. Open up the rominfo.txt file and paste the info it gives.d1git wrote:holy crap this forum is active.... i have the newest WIP version, just got it from that ipher site or whatever. my sound and video card drivers are also the newest, and i will be sure to turn off gaussian and no low pass, i'll report back to say if it works, as for the other stuff [checksum] i have no idea what that is.
Edit - You beat me to it.

It is an original nforce and not the nforce2? Because the differences are colossal, be warned once it starts fizzing out it won't be long before it goes *I hate you and your data! I will kill it all hahaha* thats why I hate the nforce.
Some people are like slinky's not really good for anything but you can't help smile when one falls down the stairs.
