Madden 98 freezes...
I was wondering if there was anyway to fix this. Me and a friend are trying to host a season online but it keeps freezing like 2-5 plays into a game.

Have you tried it with ZSNES 1.36?Toad22484 wrote:I was wondering if there was anyway to fix this. Me and a friend are trying to host a season online but it keeps freezing like 2-5 plays into a game.

You should be aware that if this is timing-related, there is a good chance this may never be fixed in ZSNES. At least, not for a long time.Toad22484 wrote:No luck. guess i wait for a new release *waits*.

PF's DMA+HIRQ fix affects a lot of games.

He said "if this is timing related". So I'm not too sure he got "slapped in the face".Agozer wrote:Heh. Ninja got promptly slapped in the face.pagefault wrote:Fixed now.
At the risk of sounding inpopular, I'll add that: If this is one of those game that used to work in zsnes...then got "broken" at some point...used to work again...then got broken again...then it's no big deal if now it work... aye, again.

Anonymous CVS can be very late behind dev CVS.Noxious Ninja wrote:Is it just me, or does anon CVS lag several hours behind normal CVS?

Absolutely not. The DMA fix is thanks to Overload, who told us that DMA registers were initialized at 0xFF (255) on the real thing instead of 0, the latter causing emu bugs.Hexlord wrote:So .. is it a hack of a sort?grinvader wrote:PF's DMA+HIRQ fix affects a lot of games.
The H-IRQ fix also brought zsnes closer to the realsnes behaviour. Along to PF's commit message:
So, he increased the emulation accuracy. If this brings up new problems, we'll fix these problems without reverting these enhancements, which means we'll keep on enhancing zsnes. This also means Dmog's dead wrong.pagefault wrote:Proper behaviour of H-IRQ when V-IRQ is active
But hey, whatever.

Don't you get it? The nay-saying I've been doing lately is merely a cover up. I'm actually using some form of experimental reverse-psychology to speed up the progress of Zsnesgrinvader wrote:Absolutely not. Seriously, I'd love to be proven wrong.
