Due to the influx span accounts (dozens per day), it has become prudent to lock down in order to prevent them from registering. This means that anyone who wants to register should note the following things.

1) If your account name that is a jumbled assortment of random characters and letters, your account will be deleted
2) If your account name appears to look like an advertisement (i.e. if it has porn or Ugg Boots in it), it will likely be deleted
3) If your IP is from a country known for spam (i.e. China, India, Ukraine, Nigeria, most of South America), your account will likely be deleted.
4) If your name is a generic English first name, it will likely be deleted unless the IP is from a non-spam producing country

As a follow-up, we're now moderating the first few posts of every newly registered account.
Nothing personal, obviously.

I really suggest making a post quickly after registering to ensure that your account isn't deleted in our bot prune sweeps.

If you are going to email me, at least give me a link to your account. I don't want to dig through hundreds of spam accounts looking for that needle in a haystack that might be you.

You don't. Your posts are already archived everywhere anyway, so it would achieve jack shit privacy-wise.

As much as I've enjoyed my time as part of this forum, the only reason I've been checking back as of late is to see if there's anything forthcoming on a new release, a release that I'm sure will arrive at some point, but hasn't over the past few years.

Having donated to the Zsnes project back in the day, I've been more than satisfied with the emulator and this forum in general. Like many people that are a part of this community, I am moving on.

Therefore, I'd be much obliged if a mod could close my account.

Four days ago I have registered and made a couple of posts, but none of the appeared on the forum. Is there anything wrong, or does the moderation take so long? I tried to contact an admin, but I have no right to send private messages, nor do admins publish their e-mails in their profiles...
