New theme, ZSNES.com

Post by Richard C. »

I got bored last night at created a new theme for the boards. To see it, change your theme to "ZSNES.com" in your profile.

2 known issues, both are because i cannot have direct server access:
* The darkest table header row is too dark (limitation of phpBB2, but fixable if i could edit a certain file by hand...)
* The ZSNES logo is missing. Again, I can't get rid of the phpBB2 logo without server access.....

You have the ability to upload themes? Can I send you Digital Twilight?

EDIT: Oh, that's right. phpBB2 let's you do some editing online. I forgot.

I think it looks OK, except for the fact that the grey bar doesn't go all the way across on the main page. A bit better than subSilver, and far better than BBTech.

SpacePilot, DigitalTwilight and Solaris are damn fucking overused. This one is kindly close to the main page, which helps on consistency. And it fucking has underlined links.

It's alright, reminds me of the theme we had before the board blew up and we were left with subsilver.

You have no idea how frustrating was for me to not know what was a link and what wasn't on BBTech.

Oh, yeah. That I agree with. My version of DigitalTwilight does have underlines, though the original didn't.

I was talking about the "damn fucking overused" part.

I didn't imply any of those three were bad. My gripe is that you see them everywhere. And I mean, everywhere.

Do you have control over none of the images used in the theme? If/when you do get some control over those, I would also suggest changing the default icons. They have anti-aliasing? for a white background, so have little white sprinkles around the edge (I'm talking about the round read/unread posts icons to the left of forum titles.)

Can we make this theme the default theme? Just asking..
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?
