Please download
http://nsrt.edgeemu.com/cpuwin.zip
Extract.
Run the two programs and paste their output here.
If you have more than one PC, do it for each PC.
If someone already did this for the CPU you have, no need to report the same info again.
I am especially looking foward to see the info from the following:
Any 64 bit CPU (Athlon 64, Pentium D...)
Any VIA, WinChip, or Transmeta CPU.
Pentium M.
Example:
Code: Select all
C:\> cpuinfo
vendor_id: AuthenticAMD
cpu family: 6
model: 4
model name: AMD Athlon(tm) Processor
flags: fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 mmx fxsr syscall mmxext 3dnowext 3dnow
C:\> cpuopt

For a thought..
adventure_of_link's cpu shouldn't return K8.. especially since the Sempron is an Athlon64 w/o the 64-bit enhancements...

No it should, because his Sempron has 64 bit enhancements.

My bad... I'm not fond of how companies "lump" in the same codename over different spans of time (like Semprons w/64-bit stuff is lumped in with Semprons w/o 64-bit stuff)

I find it interesting that older CPUs don't seem to have a name.
It's good though we can still detect what it is

I don't think HT stands for Hyper Threading - the machine was ordered the week of 9/11.

Don't tell me this thing supports HT Technology..
All Northwoods report HT. However, if you enable HT, only one "sibling" is present. That is, Hyperthreading technology is there, but there is only a single virtual CPU.
I have the exact same CPU as AoL, and can tell you that it's not possible to get these things to go HT

I have a Cyrix M-II lying around somewhere. I'll have to see if I have a working AT power supply.

Nach, your example in the first post is the same as my server's processor.
For my laptop:
Noxious Ninja has a model 13. I have a model 9:
Code: Select all
N:\Programs\cpuwin>cpuinfo
vendor_id: GenuineIntel
cpu family: 6
model: 9
model name: Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1600MHz
flags: fpu vme de pse tsc msr mce cx8 sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 tm pbe est tm2
N:\Programs\cpuwin>cpuopt
pentium-m
The output is the same for your updated programs, too.

Interesting. Mine has pae, apic, ss, and nx, while yours doesn't. I know what pae and nx are, what are the other two?
