Der SRAMgrisser Difficulties

Has anyone else ever played Der Langrisser? Well I am trying to use the Der Sramgrisser editor designed by Langrisser Legends but for some reason, the changes I make don't take effect. I load the file, I edit, I save changes and start up the game and nada. Any ideas?
