Remarkable that the 2xSai bug is also present in VirtuaNES like it was in ZSNES (right line and bottom line are corrupt). And yes, I realize this could be a bug in the filter itself. In any case, inputting the palette that NEStopia uses into VirtuaNES, and the emulator pretty much matches my experience with NEStopia. Top job!

ah cool, the bug in The Legend Of Zelda is fixed :) now link walks "through" doors in dungeons instead of over them.

That's not really a bug. That's caused by selecting "display more than 8 sprites per scanlines" or something like that. It's a pretty standard emulator cheat to remove the original NES hardware limitation. I guess it's now off by default.

Considering how 2xSaI works it's likely their code doesn't check if the pixels two places to the right of, or two places below the current pixel exist. I suppose they do check the 8 pixels one place away from the current one

how does this emu stack up next to other NES emus?

and as a random side thought, how come we don't have any megadrive emulators stickied?

just for kicks, then why the hell did you play NES over Master System?

OWNED

of course I'm just messing, I've never touched a master system in my life.

I never played a NES game in RL simply because nobody I knew had a NES.
These days I rarely play 8-bit console games, and then it's NES because of the games.

touche

I play more SFC myself, but the Mega Drive still has some quality stuff. Also Gens32 is still updating fairly regularly.

Some of their games were really good considering they like never used special chips (right?)

anyways I'm going to get modded soon if I keep up this derailment, so my apologies to virtuanes (ironically including "virtua" the name of several popular sega games **runs away**)

NES has better sound. :P
Unless you had a J SMS unit with the FM synth add-on.
