Newer compilers / assemblers changed the way some things work. This broke a utility used in the ZSNES build process, and prevents one line from assembling due to the usage of a now reserved word.
If you're having issues, try redownloading the source from Source Forge (since it was recently tweaked). Builds will be the same, nothing in the main ZSNES code changed at all. Only differences are to build utilities or how a variable was created.
(Note, NASM 0.98.37 and 0.99.01 are severely broken, and can't compile a complicated project like ZSNES, so upgrade if you're using one of those)
