WIP link on news

Just to mention you might wanna update the link on the main page, still points to emuhost.

Will take a look at source for some fun, who knows I might fix something/add something while at it.

PS. HOLY COW! that's some nasty source (not nasty bad, nasty complicated) so far I've looked a bit at it and wow, that's pretty strong coding. Even I don't come close. hopefully I'll be able to understand something and maybe help the emulater I've come to use most. although recently snes9x seems faster.

Most of the core is coded in x86 Assembly.

Enjoy.

Yea I noticed, no way I'm ready to touch that :/ maybe one day, although for now my best x86 ASM is just abusing SIMD. Been mostly working on the Quake2 engine.

You don't know till you jump in head first.

When I started working on ZSNES, my x86 was quite rusty, and I never really touched x86 past the 16 bit days.

Was the ZSNES project originally started by _Demo_, Pharos and pagefault or am I mixing names here?
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

ZSNES was begun by zsKnight and _Demo_. Pharos et al. came on later

I knew who to ask for help when I needed it.
pagefault, TRAC, and anomie gave me some help when I started working on ZSNES.
It also helps when you're used to learning a language overnight.

That's pretty much the way I learned C, friend of my and I started a mod for Quake2 neither one of us knew much of what we needed to do. so he learned how to model and I how to code.

If I want to learn how to do ASM I'll likely need to go thru some tutorials, that and I'll need some kind of live help somewhere.

You must enter the irc channel using an irc client, like Mirc, to ask your questions, I suppose it is easier that way, in real time. Sadly I don't remember the server the channel is, never really use irc.
