ZSNES Fight Fight! - Part 2

Explain why you think so.

What can I say? I gotta love the crossbow from hammer space. And it seriously kicks hammers from nowhere.

RESURRECTIOOOOOON

I could also bring up Threads of Fate's Mint, which owns massive amounts of badassery, but I know you had ToP's Mint in mind.

Well obviously your Mint beats my Mint hands down. So feel free to vote for your Mint.

The crossbow sucks. The hammer from nowhere is better.

I also choose "bloody pulp" Mint, but Marle seems more like a smartass.

Marle: her magic is more offensive. Plus she can attack from a distance.

On the other hand, the Holy Rune relic from ToP makes your characters practically invincible :?

I chose Mint because she can actually revive dead characters and Marle can't do squat.

Ah, my bad. I just haven't the patience to learn all her moves (I don't put her in my party because she's annoying). So, I'll just won't say anything else about this...

Marle because of her Ice spells and her character is more aggressive than Mint Gentleness. Now if it is Mint from TOF then it is obvious that the red haired Mint will win with her aggressive proud personality, her magic and she is also good in close combat with her rings. I voted for Marle since the thread starter was talking about Tales of Phatasia's Mint.

On the other hand, Marle can only get 999HP and 99MP...

can't base a decision on two games' differing hp/mp scales.

i don't know mint (haven't played ToP) but a hottie bitchslapping monsters with a crossbow out of hammerspace works just fine for me. marle it is.
Why yes, my shift key *IS* broken.

I forgot! We have a time machine!

No, I don't really have much of an opinion on this one.

Let me get this straight... people are not interested in Mint's growing boobs, but prefer a tomboy dating a mute?...

I'm convinced people are voting because they played CT, not TOP. Try and expand your horizons people.

I actually didn't vote.

From what I recall, Marle was a more effective fighter than Mint, though.
Healing is all well and good, but you gotta be able to dish out the damage to win a fight.

Marle takes this one easily. Mint is too much of a gentle lamb, Marle has an edge in the physical dept. to her and superior offensive magic.

Does it fly? The ramming speed argument is critical here.

One thing Mint can do and Marle can't is shout the names of the magic she's casting.

Anyone noticed when she says "recover" it sounds more like "reek-a-bar" ?

Before I knew the very little of japanese i know today, I thought it sounded like she said "BLAS TOMATO" when casting first aid. It's fun how bad one can be at interpreting foreign language when one is young(at least in my case). Ah, those were the days...

Seriously, does anyone use Mint from ToP to fight?
