zsnes don't open

Sorry, but i have problems with zsnes (btw i'm too stupid to learn the name of the emulator), when i open the emulator after 1 minutes, displays this dialog:

Windows XP + SP3
DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
Intel Atom 1.6 Ghz
1 Gb RAM

My only suggestion is to install/reinstall DX9 with those special monthy-ish updates and see if that changes the situation.

Time to upgrade from Windows 98?

I wasn't being serious.

Just look at the screen capture of the warning, it looks downright Win98!

Eh, it looks more like Windows 2000 or XP (assuming you revert to windows default) to me.

Why a gif? MS Paint can readily save to png.

Either way, I think the dialogue box pretty much says specifically what is to be done in this situation., or search the forums since I think this has been asked many many times in the past.

I'd say because PNG is a tad overkill, but... well, Paint's dithering means you need true-color capability even if you're well under 256 colors...

It's the classic "directx 9 shipped with your install forgot he's supposed to cover directx 8" issue. As mentionned, reinstalling latest directx usually fixes that.
