password issue

Post by distantsmoke »

I hope this doesn't turn out to be a stupid question. :?

I downloaded zsnes and read the readme, txt. Went to sharecash for the password file. Had to get a premium account for 3 days since the security on my computer didn't seem to allow for the free download. (Not a problem, it was my choice.)

But now that I've finally downloaded the password file, I can't unzip it. I've tried winzip, rar, and 7zip, all give me the same response "The archive is in an unknown format or damaged".

I downloaded it a second time, and still have the same issue.

So I apologize if I am missing something obvious (which unfortunately is entirely possible). But please help. Thank you.

There is no password file. Wherever you are getting ZSNES, it's obviously not from the official website.

Thank you. I thought I had, but I must be wrong. I'll try again. :)

....

I wonder what it would take for people to Google an emulator's name to see if an official website exists. Same goes for any application, really.
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

I believe there are a lot of people who do not know of the existence of emulators. But they learn about torrents, for example. Then one day on their favourite torrent site, the see something like "100 Best SNES games for PC", they download it and follow the included instructions, as it never occurs to them this is not a commercial program that they have to crack, like with other warez.

ROM CDs on ebay! (though admittedly, the ones I've seen lately were single game CDs. Possibly in an attempt to look legit.)
