Game for life!
Find the folder containing your game files, then check the folder properties. Make sure that the "read-only" property is not selected. If it is, de-select the box and click "OK". Check again to make sure that the property change sticks. If it didn't take, you must apply the changes to a parent directory (a folder higher in the nested structure).
If your games are stored on a CD-ROM, the read-only property cannot be changed. You must edit the ZSNES configuration file with a text editor to specify a folder on your hard drive for ZSNES to use as a save directory.
