Anecdotal evidence required...
Not to be pushy, but I am interested in receiving more feedback. How does it compare with my previous releases? Anyone have a related anecdote they wish to share?

the yellow colors looks like too red for me.AspiringSquire wrote:Not to be pushy, but I am interested in receiving more feedback. How does it compare with my previous releases? Anyone have a related anecdote they wish to share?
this is snap from ff3
But it's ok since it may looks different on different TV and monitor.
So I've try some palette and build one suit me too. :p
http://download.yousendit.com/01935EFC52C5D04A
And I am not sure if anyone was interested about it but it may be help.
Alough the color of palette 14 31 47 63 seems to be as black as palette 15 in many palette and test, I've notice some games use them to display color brighter than palette 15.
those games I've found include
"hokuto no ken stage 4"
"Downtown - Nekketsu Koushin Kyoku - Soreyuke Dai Undoukai"
"after burner2 stage3"
no picture
it switch the background color from palette 15 to 31 at the begining of stage3.
So even though I am not sure if they should be black or not, I decide to make them a little brighter in my palette.
Not really a good idea to compare with Japanese titles, since they were likely all tuned for 80's Japanese television sets, which were off-spec to make Japanese skin colors look more "natural" or something like that. I think there were some relevant topics at NesDev forum, only their search is broken and Google site search isn't being terribly cooperative.
Oh, and it looks like you're using the NTSC filter, which doesn't support an input palette anyway. Or at least, I don't think it does. I think the only way that one would be able to use that with custom palettes would be to strip it down to just the palette generator for full NTSC mode, then use the palette to produce an RGB image, then run that through the SNES NTSC filter, which supports RGB input and has a similar effect. At least I think. That would also kind of wreck de-emphasis support.

As I know,80s Japanese TVs were outputting a better picture because of the yellow boost they were doing to the color signal.Even PAL TVs from the early 80s did this, like the well-known for the time "SABA" brand
Hint: You can enable the "yellow boost" from the NTSC filter advanced options in NEStopia.
And yes,the latest version of NEStopia supports NTSC filter with external palettes.

Down, but not out
I just want to make it clear that, despite the RapidShare link having expired, my palette is still available on my "website", linked below my posts. Here is the direct link to the file:

One that i created and is now available with jnes based on RF output to bring as accurate color as possible.
most others are either too purple or too red.
Palette.zip
Included is also one im working on to match GBA colours. not as easy as you'd think.

edit: my bad, I was reading the dates wrongly. Shadow FX has the latest, unless an update was released a day later...
