Questions:

What version of ZSNES DOS?
Have you tried the latest WIP release?
Are you running it in Windows?
Do other DOS applications have sound?
Did you read the FAQ?

You need to enable sound, exit the emulator and run it again.

Look at my 3 months old thread:

I've tryed thousand configurations, but ZSnes is the only one which doesn't go with sound in DOS environment.... Many people have the same problem.

I've had the same problem on my old machine, but it got fixed the way Joe described it.
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

yes im running it in windows, yes other dos applications have sound, and i am running the latest release, which i think is 1.42... and if i remember correctly the last time i got the sound running was copying my zsnesw.cfg, renaming it to zsnes.cfg and then getting it working, either that or im crazy. probably the second, if someone would be so nice as to send a copy of there zsnesw.cfg to me at bloodangel007@hotmail.com, that would be amazingly cool, and yes, i know my theory sounds insane, but it might work...

This config was made with latest CVS, not 1.42; you might want to use it with a WIP.
