Delete zsnesw.cfg and zguicfg.dat and try again.

Is there not a faq, or an entry in the docs on how to fix this?

The solution has usually been Alt+Enter...

I don't really see what's funny.

Change your res to something else through the config file.

<jmr> bsnes has the most accurate wiki page but it takes forever to load (or something)

zsnesw.cfg, in the same folder where the main executable is.

... there are limits to sheer laziness. Read the damn file. If you can't find the word 'resolution' in it, you're hopeless.

Then you should take a while to read the Documentation forum, honestly, your answer is right there.

if your using the windows version then you should not look for resoloution in the config file instead look for VideoModeWin

and change its value

no you are looking in the wrong place the line should say

VideoModeWin = 15

(the number for you might not be the same)

change the 15 to any other number like for instance try 7

ok I found it and it was at 2.....i changed it to every number from 1 to 16 but none of them made it work, it just came up a different size and froze completely black.....do I have to do something else besides the VideoModeWin?

no probs

however i think the reason for others not helping you is because their sick lil retards not knowing how to fix stuff themselves.

(your not one of them to my knowledge tho)

and you didnt state what version or whether it was or what type. windows, dos, or linux etc.

I will just like to note that "your" advice was said by Agozer in the *third* post in this thread. Why the OP waited until you said it again is not a very nice sign of intelligence.

Also, awful spelling mistakes like "their / they're" and "your / you're" are not sign of intelligence too.
