Im new User of Zsnes, and lately I have been using Zbattle.net for play on the Internet.
I played Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and Final Fantasy 3 (English Version of Final Fantasy 6) on Multiplayer, but both games get De- Synchronized (DeSYNC) while we are playing.
I talked with other user of Zsnes and Zbattle and he said "Maybe v1.42 has more DeSyncs than v1.36"
Unless a recent WIP release has resolved it, netplay does not work very well in the current release of ZSNES. The devs are aware of netplay issues and will eventually take care of it.
