UDP problems.

Post by Macman »

Using UDP whenever my friend connects to me, I get stuck at "Found client."

I'd use TCP but that's way too laggy to be playable.

Any tips on how to get UDP protocol to work for me?

Things to note: I'm on a Linksys router, and my port forwarding settings are correct, I have the ZSNES port set for both UDP and TCP.

Maybe your friend also needs to forward ports ?
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

Have you tried playing with other people? Maybe he is the problem.

Both host and client need to forward UDP port 7845 for UDP connections to work. Your computer is receiving the client request and sending out an acknowledgement but he can't receive it without port forwarding UDP 7845. The problem is probably entirely on his end.
