god damn it! I want to play the psx emulator, but it looks like some of the roms are too big to download. Well at least for me. :(. Guess I will have to stick to my regular old playstation console.

The emulator is pretty fast and compatible. Give it a try.

Use Alcohol 120% or Nero.

Well I kinda meant too big of a download, like in more than 100mb a game.

So, get yourself a broadband then. Most PSX CD images are between 300MB and 700MB.

Dialup is fine for downloading CD images, as long as you either have a second line, or nobody needs to call you for a few days. Well, actually, you have internets, so they should learn how to use the internets themselves if they need you so badly.

Unless it's a torrent, I hear those are no fun over dialup.

Or, if you'd like an Open Source solution with a GUI, you should try CDRTools Frontend.

Already tried that, and it still doesn't make bootable playstation ISO images.

I just used psx emulator for the first time. Given, I don't do Playstation emulation that much, but my god, this emulator is so much better than pretty much all other Playstation emulators out there right now. Very simple configuration, compared to what's out there currently. Good performance, very nice full screen.

Congratu-freakin'-lations psx author.

All I have to say is, it seems somewhat likely this guy has some inside information on the Playstation.

It is a great new emu, but there are a lot of bugs yet to be worked out, and I figure that isos are a bit harder to come by for a psx emu author to test than say, roms. So it could be a while before we get comparable compatibility to epsxe.

Praise PSXauthor or doing that!
Hopefully, the CDROM emulation bug fixes the annoying problem with read errors hanging the game up when using a real CD.

This emulator kicks so much ass, if you don't mind using software rendering. I, for one, like the prettier high-rez polygons in ePSXe for most of my games (FF9 in particular), but this emu is GOD for FFT and Valkyrie Profile.

Hopefully, the project goes open source in the future so the author can get outside help/fixes. As the number of rpg related bugs dwindle, progress is slowing

Sadly,it doesn't run Music 2000 (MTV Music Generator) :(
Only ePSXe can run this one, other emulators freeze or black-screen.

Wow great strides have been made since I played with version 1.2 .

It works great. Even on my POS laptop. Hell even with the new cd formats supported, I haven had the need to fire up Daemon Tools. Congrats to the author!
