converting save files

any way u can convert a snes9x games save into zsnes or whatever or once you have started playing a game in whatever emulator you have to finish it in that one?

.srm files are compatible between the various SNES emulators. .00? files from Snes9x are Snes9x specifc and AFAIK, no one ever made a conversion tool.
May 9 2007 - NSRT 3.4, now with lots of hashing and even more accurate information! Go download it.

I might add support for SNES9x savestates to vSNES - in the far future. The problem for the user is that SNES9x probably doesn't store all info that is required to the describe the state of the SNES. ZSNES certainly doesn't.

So your best choice is indeed using SRAM files.
