Whats your worst pain ever?
Lately I have just passed a kidney stone. Not a big one by any means, but on my top 10 list of most painful things ever its right up there with my pancreas trying to digest itself.
Whats the worst pain some of you have ever felt?

I dont know first-hand what that was like. But, we had to hospitalize my little brother quite a bit when he was younger because of his asthma. One day he couldnt even stand up on his own and his lips turned purple. I remember they had to keep him in an oxygen tent for a few days.HERZOG wrote:My last asthma attack. I left it go too far without seeking medical attention. I ordered a taxi to get into my college clinic and was struggling for breath. I should have called an ambulance. Thats all I'm going to go into, but it was horrible.

Once, while having a severe case of the runs, I suffered horrible stomach pains that left me rolling on the floor, literally. I've heard about kidney stones and I presume they hurt a hell lot more, but I guess that's the worse I've endured.
Oh, and a broken heart, but then again, we might only be talking about physical pain no?

What?
Well I guess it depends on how you define "worst". I've had migraine too and the hours it lasted each time would seem like forever. Though I think I've had accidents that were higher in pain intensity but the pain just didn't last very long.

Flipping end-over-end on a bike without a helmet. I ended up with a concussion. When I woke up in the hospital, I had a pounding headache and bruises and scrapes all over. And to add insult to injury, I started high school the next day.

<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

I am pretty resistant to pain, so I don't really remember any concrete examples.
I've had miagranes that made me vomit, though. Not fun.
This makes me the opposite of my dad, who has experienced more pain than any other person I've ever met, and more than most on TV.
He says the worst pain is getting fingernails pulled out, though. Which is ironic, if you think about it.

One of the more recent painful experiences for me was about 2 years ago. I was dusting out a cabinet at work and banged my elbow on the hinge, right on the funny bone and nerve. I don't think anybody heard me yell "SHIT!". I hit that nerver so hard that I literally saw stars, I got nauseus and my right arm went numb for about half an hour. My elbow hurt for about 2 weeks after that as a reminder.

during a rainstorm i become ground for main at a house i lived in. voltage potential between main and the bottom of my feet: 220V
that in and of itself wasn't painful, but the burns and muscle damage thereafter was excrutiating
before then, i was in a bad bike accident, in which my helmet came off and i landed on my face. tore a lot of the muscles up. suffered some nerve damage to my cheeks, lips and eyes. it permanently left a bone scar on my jaw and a scar on the inside of my eye. interestingly enough, my skin healed so well that almost no scarring was left behind.
another time, while camping, i managed to cut my hand open down to the bone on some rocks. had to be rushed to the hospital on that one. a few stiches later and a few years later, all that's left are some indents on my palm
another time, i had a really bad wood splinter in my leg from sliding down a hillside. we had no way of getting to a nurse and it was very big and starting to swell
so i dug it out with a metal fork

I remember you psting about that one before in a similar thread. If I remember right, you and Nightcrawler have had some terrible runs of luck.soulmata wrote:before then, i was in a bad bike accident, in which my helmet came off and i landed on my face. tore a lot of the muscles up. suffered some nerve damage to my cheeks, lips and eyes. it permanently left a bone scar on my jaw and a scar on the inside of my eye. interestingly enough, my skin healed so well that almost no scarring was left behind.
