- Here is the first sales report of Nintendo Wii in Japan, between December 2 - 3, 2006, Nintendo shipped 400,000 units of Wii in Japan and sold through 350,358 units in the first two days:

Hardware: 350,358 units Software: 631,479 units

Software:

1. Wii Sports (Nintendo) - 176,167 units
2. Hajimete no Wii (Nintendo) - 174,297 units
3. Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess (Nintendo) - 139,011 units
4. Odoru Made in Wario [WarioWare: Smooth Moves] (Nintendo) - 63,954 units
5. Swing Golf Pangya (Tecmo) - 16,908 units
6. Ennichi no Tatsujin (Bandai Namco) - 10,763 units
7. Red Steel (Ubisoft) - 9,392 units
8. SD Gundam: Scad Hammers (Bandai Namco) - 9,226 units
9. Tamagotchi no Pika Pika Daitouryou! (Bandai Namco) - 8,042 units
10. Elebits (Konami) - 5,791 units
11. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz (Sega) - 4,423 units
12. Crayon Shin-Chan: Saikyou Kazoku Kasukabe King Wii (Banpresto) - 4,248 units
13. Trauma Center: Second Opinion [Caduceus Z: 2-tsu no Chou Shittou] (Atlus) - 4,107 units
14. Kororinpa (Hudson) - 2,416 units
15. Necro-Nesia (Spike) - 1,934 units
16. Wing Island (Hudson) - 800 units

Seems like the Wii lived up to the hyper whichever way you want to look at it.

I read in a newspaper a couple of days ago that Nintendo had sol 600,000 units in the US.

they've sold more wii's than sony can produce ps3's
