It's ok, but the difficulty level is much higher, and relies A LOT on backtracking and skipping bosses at times. This does not give me the same feeling as the original game in any shape of form, even though the changes are impressive.

I'd advise you guys to wait for an updated version, as a lot of problems have been reported...

Agreed, it's quite buggy in some places. However the difficulty and backtracking are just quirks of the game, I for one feel they add fun to it sometimes. This game teeters on the fun and annoying side, so I can see where you're coming from.

I agree completely. That was exactly my reaction to this hack upon playing it.
Technically speaking, it's great. However, the game design is not my cup of tea at all for the reasons you stated.
