I hate freaking TV networks

You know, I used to think that the biggest advantage to digital TV was recording. There's barely nothing to do, really: just send the mpeg2 stream to a DVD or a hard disk. Of course, the TV networks fucked that up. So what do you need now if you want to record HDTV? Something big and ugly (PS3 style...

I remember seeing on the news one putz that spent 3 days camped out in front of a store to get one for himself, not eBay. I don't remember what the story was about because I was laughing so hard because he had the $500-600 game system hooked up to what looked like a $100 21" Walmart special TV...

What I want to know is how much Wiis have been shipped tho... if the Wii only shipped 500k and the ps3 1M units, the ps3 still wins...

edit: I would doubt it tho, since the Wii is probably easier to manufacture, i guess.

The new CPU code which will be release this summer will allow the SA-1 to take full advantage of it's improved code base so these games should be working by then. Until then please use 1.42 or be patient while we work on the delicate work of fixing the old code base. It is not an easy process and w...

Basically, doing anything remotely UNIX-y on a windows partition can make certain things sneeze; "permissions" as Linux knows them don't exist in Windows, and they don't exist on the partition either. Please do try putting the source in your home or /tmp ... (This might fix it, as a Windo...

True. I'm not really one to talk in this regard, but an emulator as popular as ZSNES really needs a linux interface not written in Simple Directmediocrity Layer. Since you've already replaced the sound code, that leaves OGL and joypad support that's still dependant on it. Are there any direct OGL l...

if you want to debug configure's failures, you should post configure.log (generated after a ./configure, of course).

all i can say is WTF!

Maybe your main mirror is fucked up, change it maybe?

Or the videolan sources is fucking up your packages, since it's a woody source, and sarge is the stable release now.

Or maybe you didn't dist-update? 'apt-get dist-upgrade'.

the problem with solid compression is that, when you want to extract a specific rom, you have to skip all the roms before it in the archive.

Maybe 7z solid compression fixed that, but if it doesn't, with 11k roms, it must be terrible...

Well, the only TRUE way is to get yourself an oscilloscope and find out the exact hue, saturation, and brightness for each colour in the NES' palette.
Did anyone try?

And did anyone try to rip the palette of the NES emu on the zelda collector's edition disc?

I could swear that I have seen the same in DVD's too. I thought I had seen NTSC 24fps dvd's since 24fps makes for smaller filesize. The player then ups it to 29.97 or 30, using some algorythm that duplicates some frames (please forgive spelling my head is broken today). True. It's called a 3-2 pull...
