Then you must have a PAL TV, pagefault. More likely, he got the service mode commands for his TV and manually adjusted the scan area to eliminate overscan. Overscan is an artifact from old TV sets. Basically, there was line noise showing up at the bottom of NTSC televisions (or something like that,...

What PF is saying that it will only work if your hat switch(the digital directional) claims to be a hat switch, and not if the d-pad just mirrors the thumbstick. I understood that. I'm just saying that the D-pad isn't going to be a hat switch when my gamepad's in digital mode, it's going to be the ...

In my case my gamepad is a Logitech WingMan. Which WingMan, just out of curiosity? WingMan's a catchall label. It's Logitech's brand for ALL their gaming products. You're right. I meant to say Logitech WingMan Action. It doesn't have a more specific name, though, if that can also refer to multiple ...

In my case my gamepad is a Logitech WingMan. Which WingMan, just out of curiosity? WingMan's a catchall label. It's Logitech's brand for ALL their gaming products. I don't know if the problem is within ZSNES, with the drivers, with the controller, or what. It's in the controller, unless it's a game...

Want a glitchy game? Try Secret of Evermore. I crashed that several different was on the snes, got to places I shouldnt have, and been trapped. You know what though? Playing it again a couple of times on emulators though, I was never able to repeat those strange errors. Secret of Mana was no jewel ...

I might be an SPC700 related timing issue which affects a good listing of games out there in several ways like Clay Fighter 2 and Breath of Fire 2. Yeah I actually have had a few bad carts myself that crashed but one actually cleared up with a re-release in the Player's Choice best-of series. Namel...

As a warning, even a n original cartridge of Star Ocean has crshing issues. Never was confirmed. The game doesn't crash in bsnes, that's a strong indication that the main issue is with Zor the patch, not the game. And there's no battle speed problems either. Of course that doesn't mean the game never...

No, it's just that almost evryone on zbattle use 1.36. And also Zsnes windows version lags on this comp for a reason or another. It is only a pentium 1. Don't laugh, my dad wont let me download or install anything on his computer which is a P4. I can't help but wonder why you're running Win2K on a ...

This a limitation found on most keyboards. Either buy a gamepad or find keys that do not conflict with each other when pressed simultaneously. Which would be almost inpossible if 2 people are playing at the same time with the keyboard. Full-contact Street Fighter, as player 2 dives for tab while pl...

There's no way around it. If the game's audio engine was better-designed, it wouldn't be noticable. FF6, for example, uses all 8 channels for music, but lacks noticable cut-out. It's bad coding on Square's part. The game's riddled with bugs. But there's mitigating circumstances. The game was origina...

As for the link cable comment I meant that I'd never seen a super gameboy game that used the link port with two snes. Usually they'd just allow you to use the second controller or the 4 player adapter. Any SGB game with GameLink support could do it with any combination of Super Gameboys and regular...

Nach: What Gameboy games support the mouse? I'm curious. All of them actually. The SGB could do some whacky stuff to any game if you had the mouse plugged in. The SGB did more than pallete and built in borders. Yeah, I remember the Mario Paint thing. Always struck me as rather silly, but... *shrugs...

The only thing they're lacking is the snes sound support and controllers. That's just a fraction of what they lack. Well what else? Full SNES emulation? A Super GameBoy game has COMPLETE access to ALL SNES hardware. Not just the ability to play samples. Not just the ability to read a second control...

I think he meant on a gb/sgb emulator. Oh. In that case it doesn't change the fact that the SNES isn't emulated. The problem with the SGB, as has been mentioned, is that proper support of it requires full emulation of 2 seperate systems AND the interface between them. Think of the SGB like a 32x(th...

How about using the SGB ROM as if it were a BIOS file for the SGB ?
Doesn't change the fact that the hardware isn't emulated yet.
Until the SGB hardware is emulated, the software is nothing more than a novelty and a percentage point in your GoodSNES completion list.

I'm having a problem with the actual cart. I bought it from a junk store the other day, and I heard something rattling inside the cart when I shook it. I figured it was my luck that everything would be broken to hell on the inside, but I bought it anyway. When I got home and opened the cart, the ra...
