Then you must have a PAL TV, pagefault. More likely, he got the service mode commands for his TV and manually adjusted the scan area to eliminate overscan. Overscan is an artifact from old TV sets. Basically, there was line noise showing up at the bottom of NTSC televisions (or something like that,...

Mor elikely his system is just so infested with spyware and excess garbage that there's not enough processor time left for emulation.

What PF is saying that it will only work if your hat switch(the digital directional) claims to be a hat switch, and not if the d-pad just mirrors the thumbstick. I understood that. I'm just saying that the D-pad isn't going to be a hat switch when my gamepad's in digital mode, it's going to be the ...

Actually, that'd cause the opposite behavior with my particular controller. When my controller is in "digital" mode, the D-pad has the axes and the analog is the hat. When it's in "analog" mode, the D-pad is the hat and the analog stick has the axes. So the controller would beha...

In my case my gamepad is a Logitech WingMan. Which WingMan, just out of curiosity? WingMan's a catchall label. It's Logitech's brand for ALL their gaming products. You're right. I meant to say Logitech WingMan Action. It doesn't have a more specific name, though, if that can also refer to multiple ...

Beyond tha tit was just cursing at the game when it glitched, until I learned to to use sktch or blitz in phoenix cave and north of Narshe, or sketch an invisible enemy..

Final Fantasy 3 had bugs but none were really noticable except the infamous "glitches" everyone was screwing around with to make the game go berserk on purpose. Yeah, I was trying NOT to set those off. Given they ate my saves once, replaced every item in my inventory with dirks another, a...

I might be an SPC700 related timing issue which affects a good listing of games out there in several ways like Clay Fighter 2 and Breath of Fire 2. As a warning, even a n original cartridge of Star Ocean has crshing issues. Never was confirmed. The game doesn't crash in bsnes, that's a strong indication that the main issue is with Zor the patch, not the game. And there's no battle speed problems either. Of course that doesn't mean the game never...

DON'T rely on save states, as htey save the conditions that caused the crash to start with.
ALWAYS make sure you have a recent SRAM save, as they do NOT save the crash conditions.

perhaps you should uncheck the box labeled "enable sound" (it's in the sound menu.) I still want the sound effects, just not the music, but anyways, if i disable the first 6 sound channels, and leave 7 and 8 open, that gets rid of the music and (i think) leaves all the sound effects intan...

There's no way around it. If the game's audio engine was better-designed, it wouldn't be noticable. FF6, for example, uses all 8 channels for music, but lacks noticable cut-out. It's bad coding on Square's part. The game's riddled with bugs. But there's mitigating circumstances. The game was origina...

As for the link cable comment I meant that I'd never seen a super gameboy game that used the link port with two snes. The only thing they're lacking is the snes sound support and controllers. That's just a fraction of what they lack. Well what else? Full SNES emulation? I think he meant on a gb/sgb emulator. Oh. In that case it doesn't change the fact that the SNES isn't emulated. The problem with the SGB, as has been mentioned, is that proper support of it requires full emulation of 2 seperate systems AND the interface between them. Think of the SGB like a 32x(th...

Until the SGB hardware is emulated, the software is nothing more than a novelty and a percentage point in your GoodSNES completion list.

Others would include Donkey Kong(SNES sound hardware hit) and Space Invaders(complete SNES game included).
