Re: ITT: Birthdays, Hellos, Goodbyes, EXTENDED Absences.

Wow I come back 2 years later and we're still on the same page and I'm just a few posts up. It's cool to see some of the people in the community still around. Hopefully people are well. Anyhow, I see that ZSNES is in stasis, which is completely understandable. Its amazing, I remember using it as a d...

Re: Best flash drive

I'm using A few SanDisk Cruzer 64GB models. So far they haven't failed me. They're slow as fuck, but I use em for restores instead of optical disks. That, and I backup my purchased music collection, and just plug it into my car stereo when I'm driving. Are you looking for long-term disaster proof st...

Oh yeah. A 10/22 is still on my list. I did also pick up a Savage Mark II, don't really know why I wanted a bolt-action 22 but It is damn accurate on just iron sights. I love shooting Aguila SSS (subsonic sniper) ammo through it. Pretty quiet stuff.

i haven't gone in forever, but i loved clay pigeon shooting. i don't know if you want to get into shotguns, but that's where i've had my fun. Just got back from doing that. Yesterday, I picked up a mossberg 500 with a 28'' barrel. I went from 40% to 80% accuracy in two days of clay pigeon shooting,...

Re: Article about how desktop UIs changed over the years

I agree with everyone, the article was well written, and rings true. I still get the BSOD in 7. My netgear drivers for my wireless n device seem to be the culprit. The first MS dominant computer I cut my teeth on was an old 486 DX4 100Mhz with 8Mb Ram and a 640Mb hd. It ran Windows 95, and crashed e...

So my younger brother took me out shooting the other day. I found this to be great fun. My question is do any of you go shooting for leisure, and what sorts of firearms do you shoot? Second question, what would be a good idea for a newb? I figure I could go with something dirt cheap to cut my teeth ...

Re: WHAT GAMES ARE YOU PLAYING THESE DAYS

hasn't got dnf yet, so is the multiplayer better than dn3d? Hard to say. The games were laggy as hell, but my ISP is more than likely to blame there. I couldn't really do a fair comparison, considering the last time I played Duke3d multi-player it was over modem when I was still an awkward teen. I ...

Re: WHAT GAMES ARE YOU PLAYING THESE DAYS

I love the load screen tips. "Take less damage to prevent death" and "If you get stuck, don't forget you can cheat by looking at FAQs online" are my favorites, though "if you died from falling off a high ledge, it's probably your own fault" got a good laugh too. I agre...

Re: Duke Nukem Forever to officially get a release date

I actually liked it. I even pre-ordered/pre-loaded after playing the demo. The way I see it is, if someone wanted to play an upgraded version of the build engine with 3d models, then theres EDuke32. I don't think many people are going to be happy with DNF regardless. I'm not saying the game is witho...

how much did that rig cost you? All in all I'd say including an OEM copy of Windows 7 Home Premium, around $600.00. Thats including a low end 20'' led monitor. i didn't know original phenom chips were still on the market. It seems the went unavailable at this retailer just after I bought it. I chec...

I had this trouble myself, but when I had it, it was due to my home bar going bad. I ended up e-baying for a new home bar strip and installing it myself. ouch buddy, ouch.. :(...
