This may be relevant to your sound skipping issues. Just checked using that latency program while running Nestopia. There were NO lag spikes while the music started skipping and popping. In fact, the bars never even reached the first green line marker. This confirms my feeling that it's not my syst...

Well that unstable sound issue for one thing. That reminds me, I gave FCEUX a try and it had quite a few problems. First, fullscreen doesn't initialize properly and I have to initialize it twice to hide the desktop background. Next I found the mouse pointer is completely hidden no matter what I trie...

That's correct. Really it's not my system. I have several emulators for various other platforms like SNES, Megadrive, Neo Geo, MAME, etc, and none of them have this problem. There's just something funky about the sound core in Nestopia that causes random bloopers in it. As I said before, it can soun...

No, it's PCI card I just purchased (and has the latest drivers), and I noticed the sound problem before I upgraded to the new card.

Yeah I'm starting to notice the sound is glitchy even in 1.37 as well. I've tried all sorts of timing settings, but nothing seems to fully get rid of the problem. Even if I set the buffer to 10 frames, turn all sync timing off, and allow for frame skipping, the sound still has the occasional screwup...

So I started playing Nestopia again after quite a long time away from NES gaming and noticed the sound was jumpy and unstable. Not all the time mind you, but randomly every 10 to 20 seconds. At first I thought it was my timing settings, but I just checked with Nestopia 1.37 and the sound is stable u...

I remember on the actual cart using the new game+ to max out all stats on all characters. Took a while, but it got to where most of my magic spells did 9999 by that point.

For me there is no comparison. bsnes is the best snes emulator by far. I can't stand to play any of the other ones because of poor sound emulation and/or display issues I don't like. Having both a real snes and bsnes, I find I prefer playing bsnes. Its come a long way in the past 4 years! Thank you,...

... this has been supported for the past three and a half years now :/ Nach added GZ+ZIP+JMA support. If you're asking about 7-zip, then no. I won't be adding that ever. Why does bsnes sit on a blank screen whenever I try to load a zipped rom? Edit: I found the problem. The WIPs do not support zip ...

Byuu, my apologies if you've already decided against it, but is there a chance you might add zipped rom support in bsnes? It kind of sucks having to unzip roms for bsnes, when every other platform supports zipped roms.

I remember about 15 years ago purchasing a razor-sharp ninja-to from an online catalog. You'd be amazed at how easy it is to get a deadly sword.

The sky is actually colourless. What we see as blue is the refraction of light bouncing of various gasses in the atmosphere. so what would you define the sky to be, since the "various gasses in the atmosphere" seem to not be included in your definition? empty space in which the atmosphere...

Also! What the hell does that have to do with anything, anyways? It adds nothing to the "PS1 ISN'T 3D LOL" argument. And that "also lacks" comment implies that your previous argument hasn't been torn to shreds already and does, in fact, have some sort of merit. I can google up s...

Line duplication is an effect simulating stretched pixels for modern displays, there really is no clever way to defeat it without incurring blur. The blur incurred with my method is nearly undetectable. Having the monitor do the horizontal scaling as opposed to having the software handle it really ...

You need to have your eyeballs checked, Missingo. The image with the least visible line duplication is the one with the most intense blur. Look at the right side of the tomato in your snes9x shot. Why would you claim that that image has no noticeable duplication? Either you want it gone or you don'...

I'm unable to hide the menu in fullscreen, nor is f11 working for switching back and forth between modes. It seems like a bunch of stuff we all got used to using is now not working. What happened? i also think the remote lock-out was intentional. an IR receiver's absence was a conscious choice. it sells more sony remotes. Nonsense. That doesn't prove a thing. When you want to do bluetooth format, you do it without worrying about whatever older format univeral remotes are using. They didn't d...

have you forgotten that dualshock 3's are 65 a pop? and that they charge 25 dollars for their remote? all the while locking out any other universal remote. You don't really need the remote, though I have one myself. Also, I don't believe they intentionally locked out all other universal remotes, bu...

A favorites database the user can make where the proper theme image is loaded with the game. I wasn't really planning to do anything with that feature, but who knows for the future. Maybe just make it look for gamename.sfc + gamename.png and set that as the backdrop, if it exists. Assuming that's n...
