In the future, probably. That's a mighty bold statement right there. Much closer to lottery-winning-probably than my-foot-kicking-a-cat-probably. Rumour has it that Windows 8 will be creeping by sometime around 2012 and may be a 128 bit OS and if not Windows 9 will be. Moving past a 32 bit version ...

I don't see what's stopping a translation group from taking the script of the original and putting it in the new versions of the game.

If it's re-written as badly as you claim I'm surprised there is no fan translation of it yet. Hell, fans even re-translated CT. Ummm... how would a fan retranslation fix a problem in the Japanese script? Working Designs had a lot more respect for the originals than Game Arts, though there was only ...

Who knows, some motherboards are made like shit and if all DIMMs aren't exactly the same the mobo shits itself and dies. I'm talking about motherboards which were so shitty that they had problems running and would sometimes crash if the RAM used weren't all exactly the same. As in a 1GB Corsa...

how would it interrupt triple channel? there are three of each DIMM. as in, two sets. triple channel doesn't run on 6 sticks. Who knows, some motherboards are made like shit and if all DIMMs aren't exactly the same the mobo shits itself and dies. That wouldn't be the first time I've ran across that...

You never know what people want to do with their compies (tm) Even if he's trying to win an e-penis contest 9GB is too much. DDR3-1066 would be 133MHz anyway, standard has always been 200MHz and it hasn't changed for DDR3. The average DDR3 RAM these days would be DDR3-1600. 3x2GB, 3x1GB. I've never...

Why would you waste money on a 1792MB GTX 260? You won't need that much video RAM, for the same price you could get something better. The GTX260 is ancient history now. Everything else is going to limit you far before the amount of video RAM does. Get an HD5850 or something or wait for the 300 serie...

Well they don't look designed to be viewed at 4:3 because things seem to be out of proportion at 4:3. Like the portals in CT are ovals at 4:3 but perfect circles at 8:7. Seems more like they said "Fuck it, no one will notice that it's stretched out a bit". On the other hand; do you really...

You've really answered your own question there. Do you REALLY think the games were designed for you to stick your finger in a socket and read bits straight off of RAM? Or were they designed to be displayed on a TV? Spoilers: They were designed to be viewed on a TV. Stretching to 4:3 is The Right Wa...

Yeah, I can do that. There's both hardware and software filters involved. Software is 2xSaI, and is what stretches the 256x224 input to 512x448. After that, you have to fit it to your output window, say 1024x768. This is where the hardware filter comes in. There are two types of hardware filters: p...

BSNES Blur

Once upon a time on a forgotten OS using a forgotten version of ZSNES I had ZSNES set to use 2xSaI and gave the ideal look (for me) out of all the settings available. I assume this look was achievable under Windows 98 and XP. I've been using Vista 64 for quite a long time now and when I use those sa...

I'm sure it's a program that lets you perform a bunch of operations on a .IPS file. Moving all the pointers -0x1FF to the left shouldn't be too complicated for a program to do. Just run the program from the command line, it shows how to do it. There is literally a program called IPS Edit? Anyone go...

When you update using the add header option, the info doesn't display properly the first time. You need to select the ROM again to check its updated properties. Yes that's what I did. I added the header, selected the ROM again and it would show the header added. But then if I checked again after th...

Did you check the ROM to see if the header was added? Yes I did. I took a look at that again now and it didn't show. I deleted the ROM and re-extracted one from the 7z to try again. The result was the same, the first time it would show the header as added then when I check it again it wouldn't show...

Don't add an NSRT header either.
That's what I did. What I tried patching with is Lunar IPS, could that be the problem? I assume something else is the problem because the auto patching should work anyway.

I guessed that might be the issue and added a header with NSRT and that didn't work. Perhaps the head I added with NSRT won't work? The header NSRT added should be fine. Maybe it is your copy of the patch that's causing the problem. I got the patch from here . Thanks for the link. So with the new f...

I recall a bad strain of Bahamut Lagoon dumps, so you need to check on that. It is also best you get the copier patch instead of the emulator patch of Bahamut Lagoon for the best experience (there's a few bugs in the emu patch last I recall). I went ahead and got another ROM and verified that with ...
