is there a way to load the auto savestate through the command line? that would be fine with me, as I could easily whip up a batch file to pass the appropriate parameter.

Here's what I am doing... I am double-clicking the ROM I want to play. Then it doesn't load the auto savestate. It SHOULD load it, is what I'm saying.

I didn't really think of what the problem was. To be more specific, auto save/load DOES NOT WORK when a ROM is loaded as a command line argument. It only works when loading the ROM from the load menu. Similarly, it does not save when you use the exit button (assigned from the gui keys menu), only wh...

auto save/load

this feature doesn't seem to work as expected. I expect it to save state when I quit (to some separate state), and load that state when I start the game back up, but it doesn't do this?

Using latest WIP.

Re: diagonal movement

I have a problem with diagonal movement while playing Chrono Trigger. I know that there are sometimes problems when pressing more than two keys, but this problem only occurs for a specific combination of keys, so I was wondering if there is another solution. In Chrono Trigger the character can move...

Hmm, currently... - the highlight code only works with menu items, not menus themselves. - the mouse location is checked AFTER a click. If the mouse is in the right place, the menu opens. - since you can open a menu even if there's another window onscreen, we can't just cheat and assume the mouse i...

Does the gamepad have a slider? That messes it up if it's not centered.

Because americans think a CROSS means 'OK' and a CIRCLE means 'OH NOES'
They should have changed the circle to a check mark on american consoles :)

yes, or perhaps do some sort of "if it's been x seconds since I've made a rewind state, go back 1 state and erase that 1; if not, go back 2 and erase 2" kind of thing. Of course I have no asm experience so I don't know how hard this would be.

Rewind problem

When rewinding multiple times, rewind "skips" some of its previous states. It's best shown with a game with a timer such as super bomberman. Set the rewind timer to something nice (I set it to 25/5 = 5 seconds). Now, start a multiplayer game in super bomberman. The timer will start at 2 mi...

If you gave them away, you no longer legally have them. Also, I believe you can only have ROM images you have dumped yourself from your OWN carts. You will also not find links to ROMs here. Although, technically, is there any difference between two digital copies? For example, copying my Hybrid The...

Radioshack PSX to USB adapter with vibration...

Does anyone else have this adapter and still have the driver disk/disc? I got the drivers from the website but the rumble doesn't work. If someone still has the original ones I would be very thankful.

Re: PLEASE HELP problem with end of game

ok, so i beat tales of phantasia, earthbound, and chrono trigger, and for each game the same thing happened: it gets stuck at the last screen, when it says "the end" or whatever. i know that for chrono trigger, at least, it should go back to the title so that i can play new game+, but not...

I've found that even though DMZ should, in theory, forward all ports to a certain computer automatically, it doesn't seem to work all the time, especially with D-link. Make sure you have the port forwarded on both your software and hardware firewall. If it works with a direct connection then it will...

yes, but it used to be that if you pressed rewind right after a new savestate was taken, it would go to the savestate before the one it just took. Now it seems like it goes back more than two savestates instead. The result is that eventually you get to the last savestate and it "stutters" ...

note that many routers have default IP addresses of 192.168.1.1, including linksys. Belkin routers are 192.168.2.1

Also, port forwarding is often called "virtual server" or something like that.

rewind is a little weird with the new WIPs

Has anyone else noticed that the rewind in the new wips (where you can set the rewind intervals) is a little different feeling? It seems that when I rewind, it goes back further than it should. It's especially noticable when I rewind (for example, if I died), and then need to rewind again (like, if ...
