no... zsnes is not able to create folders itself... just make the folders from within windows explorer or what ever and then try saving in zsnes... tho's paths you specified work for me. Yep, that was my problem, I didn't create the folders myself (silly that I didn't think to try that.) Documentat...

Oh, and this is probably my own stupidity, but I can't get the paths to work. I have all three set in the GUI menu, but SRAM doesn't save, and when I do a savestate it says "UNABLE TO SAVE."

I was messing with Chrono Trigger and there seems to be a problem with Revision #3929 (compiled using Zget and full optimizations.) NSRT v3.3 - Nach's SNES ROM Tools ---------------------Internal ROM Info---------------------- File: Chrono Trigger (U) [!].smc Name: CHRONO TRIGGER Company: Square Hea...

Mmm, I love visiting this thread every several weeks and reading all the new changes. My thanks go out to all the developers who have way more work ethic than I could ever muster. I was wondering, though, I wanted to play Chrono Trigger again and I'm going to play it on ZSNES (since my SNES is curre...

Last post (I swear!) There's a limitation with the September 20th release of UnGoodMerge (or rather, with the batch files it creates.) If a ROM name contains the symbol '%' it will break the batch file. I don't know enough about batch file scripting to know if this can be fixed without changing the ...

Ah, found out that a new version was released last week. This one seems to work, but it looks like there's no country code filter.

UnGoodMerge

I don't know if Poobah still posts here, but I was trying to get his UnGoodMerge utility to work and I ran into the same problem as one of the people in this thread: http://board.zsnes.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8016&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 Since the thread was locked, I was won...

As far as I know, they're pretty much rewriting the ZSNES core and doing a code audit to get rid of all the trash that's been piling up over the last several years. I think their goal is to remove the need to use timing hacks and game-specific fixes. Aside from that, from what I've read, they're rew...

Hmm, I think ZSNES already outperforms the SNES. I seem to remember that in Zelda 3 when you hit a tree with bees in it, the game would noticibly lag on the SNES. With the ZSNES it runs perfectly smooth.

I think that the current plan is just to allow you to enter whatever you want as a resolution. Solves everyone's problems.

Bleh, nevermind. After playing with it for about an hour I realized that I had used the wrong settings when comiling libpng and zlib.

Problems with libpng linker errors under Windows

This isn't really related to ZSNES, but doing a search I noticed a thread from 2004 where jdratlif had the same problem as me using zlib and pnglib in Windows. http://board.zsnes.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=13413&sid=144d39024b65a98140e77fffefc62300 When I try to compile I get a stream of LNK2005...

There's a list out there somewhere of all the multi-tap compatible games. I can't seem to find it though. My Google-fu has failed me.

I can see how people might not know what ".." means, but aside from that are there any other questions that get asked frequently? I mean, ZSNES runs nearly anything with zero configuration right out of the zip file. When I downloaded ZSNES for the first time 6 years ago I read through all ...

Seriously, just forget about how I got the images, all I wanted to prove is that there're two shades of black. Besides, I'm pretty sure that ZSNES saves screenshots as uncompressed bitmaps. So the filesize would have been larger anyways.

Fine, I replaced the 144k file with a 45k optimized png that still has the two particular shades of black. I did this just because I love Aerdan. :p

Get a decent image editor and/or pngcrush and don't give me that shit about 'lossy if compressed', because it's only lossy if your editor sucks the cock, which it apparently does. Capiche? *scratches head* I was using Adobe Photoshop CS (8.0) and I used PNG-24 instead of PNG-8 because the compressi...

Sorry for the large file size, I had to save it uncompressed or else it would lose some color depth. The image on the top is the default tile puzzle when invisible. On the bottom I've lit the torch and made the tiles visible. On my recent playthrough I noticed that even when the tiles are invisible ...

I've been lurking around for a while and I finally put forth the effort to compile one of the WIPs (mostly so I could try out the CPU optimization.) I just wanted to thank the dev team for all the work you guys have put in. I'm wondering though, what are the criteria for the next stable release? Loo...
