Re: IPV6 Support for ZSNES Netplay Once the NetCode is Fixed

IPV4 which will soon be running out of addresses. Not sure you understand how it works. I have a basic idea of how it works. You have the IANA and the various RIRs, which delegate IP address blocks to the various continents (and by extension, businesses, corporations, etc) of the world. There have ...

IPV6 Support for ZSNES Netplay Once the NetCode is Fixed

In the next couple of years, if not sooner, the IPV4 address space is going to be running out and IPV6 will start to be deployed alongside IPV4. (v4 means version 4, v6 means version 6) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ipv6 ---- What does this have to do with ZSNES? Well, you need an IP address for netp...

Re: Netplay questions

So, I downloaded the 1.42 version of ZSNES, since that's the last working version of Netplay, and had my friend to the same. My friend lives in Pittsburg, while I live in DC--so we obviously had to use Hamachi to direct connect our PCs. So, that's all fine and dandy, we figure things out on our own...

I'd be surprised if most zsnesw newbies actually read the documentation.

Zsnes Netplay Greatest Victory

Question for all Zsnes netplayers:

What's your most lop-sided victory in Zsnes netplay against an opponent? (Sports, Fighting, Platformer, etc).

---

My most lop-sided victory was 40 - 1 in Megaman Soccer, without special shots.

Ranma 1/2: Hard Battle
Super Rugby
World Class Rugby (once Zsnes fixes the graphics problems. Warning: It runs, but you won't be able to see much.)

Compiling Zsnes 1.36

What packages does Zsnes 1.36 need for compiling on Sabayon Linux [not svn]?

[I've seen the Compiling Using SVN link, by the way]

I think this thread starter meant 4 computer netplay in the same game.

I'll give an answer then: Until the netcode comes out, don't expect anything like that happening!

Re: Help (for a beginner!)

Hi, I have a Netgear DG834G router. I've been trying to play an internet game of Super Tennis with a friend, but it won't work. Originally, I couldn't connect at all, but after amending a few settings on the router I managed to connect (and we could reach the bit with the chat area). However, when ...

I guess the chances of getting World Class Rugby to work properly in Zsnes seem more and more remote as time passes.... Are you basing that statement on the fact(?) that it hasn't yet been fixed? Because, on the contrary, as more time passes, ZSNES becomes more accurate, and thus is more likely to ...

If you're talking about 1.36, make sure whoever is hosting has savestates for the game you want to play. I had an issue with NBA Jam T.E. in 1.36 where it kept freezing when I tried to start netplay, but once I created a savestate on my side, it worked properly in netplay again. Try that and see wha...
