Excellent. Downloading it now, and will create a new package here in a bit. :) EDIT: Sonic 3 & Knuckles sounds fine now. :) Robocop Vs. The Terminator still has that weird sounding sound effect for the flame thrower weapon compared to Kega. Hi, Well, I have a good memory on this, and those sound...

Another Sonic 3 & Knuckles related thing to look at. In the Doomsday Zone with Sonic, the sound of the transformation has a distinct pop. Can anyone else confirm this? In Kega, the transformation sound effect goes from low to high to low with no issues. Otherwise, I think the music is completely...

Ok, you know what time it is. I've decided to make another release of the package with everything you'll need to run Regen right off the bat, this time for v0.93 Beta 3. Stuff included in this package are; -Latest Regen test executable (v0.93 Beta 3). -Required Fonts folder and makefile executable, ...

Ok, here's some savestates I promised. I like to say the X-Men issue with partway through the second level seems fixed now. The music actually sounds better than Kega in this case. Robocop on the other hand... Kega gets the sound right. Load up each savestate in each emulator and fire the weapon and...

Spider-Man Vs. The Kingpin - Still has pops here and there, and the high pitched sound in the warehouse level still exist (which it does crackle). I cracked it! this sound is coming from the rats :D  . This is a PSG problem. I thought I fixed this. Somebody needs to conform this on real hardwa...

In fact there are. But in reality, PAR could only intercept RAM unlike Game Genie where ROM could be intercepted. And don't confuse PAR with normal Hex codes. They just look similar (at least on Genesis). That, and you can use hex based codes in a real Pro Action Replay, so in reality converted GG ...

No such thing as too many. ;) I assume there's a limit? :P Is there any workarounds?

Found another sound issue in Sonic 3 & Knuckles. In Carnival Night Zone, when you hit one of the bumpers, the sound has a loud pop sometimes.

Might of found something new (and Game Genie related). A code for Sonic 3 & Knuckles, which is for disabling of the Super/Hyper Sonic/Tails/Knuckles music doesn't work in Regen while it does in Kega. Here's the long code in GG form... REPA-C6YR, REPA-C6YT, REPA-C6YW, REPA-C6YY, RFJT-C61Y, RFJT-C...

But I'd like to point out Turbo Mode doesn't work when VSync is enabled. In windowed mode, its supposed to be this way. Until vblank doesn't occur, DirectX blocks the emu in windowed mode so I can do nothing. Then you'll think how Kega does it. Well, it seems to skip frames while in turbo mode whil...

Not to mention it's quite easy to create a UPS patch. All you need is a patched version of the original game, and the original unmodified game ROM and it can form a patch from the difference. :) Although, I'm guessing if you edit the checksum of a Genesis ROM, it'll change the CRC (so that's a bad t...

Found another possible issue (sound skip). For the heck of it, I loaded up Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (REV00) [!] and went into the sound test and listened to the music, and the song Billie Jean when it plays at certain points, the sound seems to skip. And in Robocop Vs. The Terminator, the sound ...

Ok, been playing with the new beta for a little bit... Fullscreen works damn nicely! :D The new NTSC plugin is working like a dream too! And I like the little nifty cheat editor (oh, and the auto-cheat load function has more or less ended the bug where when you go to open a ROM, it'll load the cheat...

Eh, it shouldn't be hard to convert IPS patches over to UPS. UPS is superior compared to IPS. If you want more information why, read this topic.

Ok, I've done some more sound related testing with X-Men (U) [!], and I want to bring something to your attention. In the second level part way with the music change (Shi'ar Empire) the music with the 'chorus' sounds different in Regen and Kega. Here's a couple savestates to check out which can be d...

If you play Sonic 3, pay attention to two songs in particular;

Carnival Night Zone has a resemblance the MJ song Jam
The Credits has a resemblance the MJ song Stranger In Moscow

Well, considering MJ was supposed to compose the music to Sonic 3, but didn't due to the child molestation accusations, and most of the music in Sonic 3 do kinda sound like a couple MJ songs... I wouldn't actually disagree with your statement. :) And no, what you're asking isn't possible, Disable So...

Wow, sound issues fixed fast, I like that. :D I'll do some sound testing in a bit for a couple games. :) That basically leaves Sonic 3/S&K overall. I know a couple good ones to test, including X-Men. Speaking of which, I just tested X-Men (U) [!] and the intro sounds kinda funny compared to Kega...

Yeah, I guess I could document what I meant when I typed that up. The Sonic 2K UPMEM is what prevented the 'dumping' of Sonic 2 & Knuckles for awhile until somebody figured it out and dumped the UPMEM and combined all three. Cowering has it listed incorrectly within GoodGen, as it's not a S&...

It's the patch that was used within Sonic & Knuckles where when connected to Sonic 2, it'd allow Knuckles in Sonic 2. From the S&K Wikipedia article... Unlike the Sonic 3 lock-on, where the Sonic & Knuckles ROM referenced the data in Sonic 3 to add its additional features, this game used...
