Well , both are great emulators so I guess you should download both and see which one is better for you. I personally like Snes9x a bit better because of better (imo) interface and hqxS filters. While Zsnes is faster and runs better on slower machines I play it on my laptop etc etc

sram saves are compatible with all versions, except maybe the very first public release ever =\ Why shouldn't it? Completely random comments deserve completely random franpa alerts. Afaik, sram saves are completely not related to emulators, and created by the rom only. They can be exchanged and use...

SonGoku1905, Snes9x filters it the same way.

Personally I prefer AVG and quite satisfied with it. Antivir isn't bad but the spammy advertising windows it opens on each update has been irritating.
I also think AVG's scan is faster and less resource-demanding

Re: Save file lost for Super Mario RPG

I had moved all the files for the ROM to a new folder (they were on my desktop) and tried to play Sm rpg, and it didn't have my save file. I then tried to move all the files back to where they were when the save file showed up, but it didn't work. Please help! If it helps anyone, my ROM and .srm ha...

Re: VBA Re-Recording

Did you know about this build and filters? Yup. IIRC, someone else wrote it, and I'm not even sure he had permission to do so by the original author. It can be confusing in fact. What do you mean ? Aren't both VBA and Hq(x)x filters open-source ? Anyway, it seems so interesting that this filtering ...

VBA Re-Recording

I have been messing with VBA builds for some time and I think I finally found what ı was looking for.Although it is mainly concentrated on movie recording stuff, It has some great features that makes it stand above other builds imho. The most importantly its performance is way better than 1.8.0 buil...

umm...no I mean 1.50 because I don't like the bottom lines in 1.51 and using 1.50 at the moment.

1.36 seemed to be a good release , but i was disappointed with the 2xSai filters going bye bye. For some reason I liked them more than hqx filters on nes emualtion, which make simple images 'too sharp' and disturbing in my opinion. I think I'll stick with 1.35 for now.

Well, in the past I was also a bit unpleased with the GUI but both because of getting used to it by time and its functionalities made me like it. And since I'm sure that it's unlikely to be changed , how about adding some color schemes to it such as grey/black etc. ?

I don't know if it can be considered hard (not too hard except a few memorable fights imho) but Tales of Phantasia is one of the games that I love playing most on Zsnes. I tried playing the FFVI port on the 'latest' version of VBA and it sounded terrible. With them not bothering to update it, I could force myself to sit through all the audio torture...

Yep, I think the last updated build was VBA-S by Spacy that was based on 1.8.0 and after he quitted now it seems there is nobody working on it.Too bad. I wish there was a dedicated team working on it , just like in Zsnes, because I am mostly into GBA emulation after Snes emulation VBA development in...

the only mame that 'don't suck' for me is Mameplus because it's the only one with graphic filters. I think 0.105-107 are best versions . I wish it also had sound interpolation and filters such as is Zsnes. Maybe nobody thought about it ? Sound is especially very low-q and crackly in NeoGeo games
