Haha, are you even listening to me? I'm using the mirrors, I have been before I even made my first post. Overuse of the repos is not the reason I'm cut off from their website right now.

Since you have nothing intelligent left to offer, yes, I'll be contacting my ISP now.

I know. If I fix the problem with accessing the site though, I'll fix this repo problem in the process, so I'm focusing on that right now.

the DNS flush didn't seem to make a difference either way, unfortunately. Switching over to a different mirror for updates did work, but the updater is still looking for some things on the main server as well, which is making it yell at me (not a huge problem right now, the updates I needed to go th...

more problems accessing websites

So I know we've discussed similar situations a million times already, but now I'm having a problem of my own. I can't get into any page on an ubuntu server, which didn't seem like a big deal until i realized that I go there to check on a lot of software I use, and also that I'm now unable to use the...

speaking of which anybody know how are those metroid 2 remake projects going? http://metroid2remake.blogspot.com/ http://www.metroidsr388.com/ The former just put out a new demo, which I haven't had a chance to play yet. I'm excited about them, let's hope the magic is properly captured. EDIT: demo ...

Judging by those screenshots, I think CT will look alright on the DS.
General and battle menus actually look like they'll be fun to use with the touch screen. Maybe I'll try this out on a kiosk or something.

My mantra from now on is going to be "dig, dig, dig" on options that 1% of people use. Grab a shovel and dig, dig, dig, straight to the abyss of the advanced section. No way, no how can these things be sitting pretty atop 100% options. Congrats, you're not the person making the final deci...

If bsnes was set up to always allow PAD controls to work (no idea how that would be detected), and simply stopped detecting keyboard input when not in focus, I know that I personally would no longer need both options (both being 1 and 2) Though I don't at the moment, I can detect the difference bet...

Apparently we're "done arguing about it", but for the record, basically, no one has ever complained about this in hundreds of other popular emulators and computer games, and bsnes with a userbase 1% the size suddenly has people finding it indispensable? I don't know about other people, but...

Yeah, I don't get that one. If you're in another program, you're over there, not holding a gamepad to play the window that just unfocused as a result of going in that other program. This actually happens to me all the time, so I'd appreciate it if you not steal my precious setting from me. Clicking...

I never dissed Kega of Regen...they both have their pluses and minuses. It's just when one doesn't hear any news of said program for several years, people tend to doubt if it's really still alive or not is all. Heck, if Zophar can come back from the dead, so can Kega.... I think most of us are sick...

Bootleg Demakes Competition

There was a competition last month for people to make "bootleg demakes" of popular games... demake essentially is a backwards-remake (for example, what halo would look like on an NES), and the games are bootleg in the sense that they're made to look like knockoffs of said games ("cogs...
