In my 'nvidia settings' I have it set to 60, but everywhere else on my computer (screen resolution preferences in ubuntu and this emulator, at least) I've only got 50 and 94. That drove me crazy. For a long while I kept trying to force modelines to get 60hz, because xrandr kept telling me I was run...

Also disappointing was that the 1991 SPC700 was still far superior to the 2001 GBA. The SPC700 was ironically designed by Ken Kutaragi himself... which still sounds like a joke even though I know it's true. I think that they should have stayed in the portable market, but forsaken building home cons...

When I think about all the PSX soundtracks I enjoyed, particularly Symphony of the Night, I think about how much poorer they would have sounded on the N64's synth chip, necessitated by the limited storage capacity of ROM cartridges. I would definitely have to disagree at least partially on that one...

I know most people who ether have a 360 and a Wii or a PS3 and a Wii. That's why the Wii sells very well because people see it as a extended library.

OP needs to stop being an insipid fanboy. The Wii still has only a handful of games worth playing right now. Also, Metroid Prime 3, while fun, has officially ruined the series for me. It was a good game, but it was *not* a Metroid. How so? I still haven't played it (working my way through the first...

X11 is very unlikely to wait for vblank before blitting/buffer swapping. Without that you're generally bound to see some tearing. I switched over to OpenGL and clicked the sync to vblank option, but I still seem to be getting tearing. I think that's supposed to happen, though... My only two frequen...

For cards with resampling issues (mostly Creative Audigy2/4 series, but other non-CL cards do this as well) which resample twice internally with a bad algorithm if the frequency is anything other than 96kHz. So every time a sound card maker does something royally stupid, every program with sound has...

RARE would never dedicate a AAA team to a 2D sidescroller, I doubt even Nintendo would, this is the problem, and if they did get RARE to do a new one (the only real way to get a true donkey kong country game) I'm sure it would be pretty complicated. Sure they've done lots of ports since the separat...

I never thought I was a huge Sonic fanboy, but this news made me so freakin giddy. Sonic is just... cool! I mean... the electric guitars... the badass attitude... the bright red shoes... the spiky hair... No, but seriously, I really like Sonic, and if he's a solid character (looks like he will be) I...

http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/18/ This is certainly worth trying out. I played through this in it's entirety. It does fix up the dialog. Sorry, I did see this when you posted. It is the patch I referred to earlier, where I was wondering if it was an actual translation versus going through and try...

http://www.chronocompendium.com/Term/Retranslation.html Your script dump is there, along with your J > E difference, I believe. It was done months ago. I know they exist. They made the patch as well because people were interested in seeing it presented in that fashion. That's what I meant. Why make...
