i tried the OSS (i did it the same way as i changed libao from auto to sdl, if that was wrong let me know) it had no sound.

Changing the sample rate helped a lot, the sound is much better, only the lowest sounds are fuzzy.

honestly franky, I'm just trying to fix my zsnes, i really don't give a shit how you say Ubuntu... you're the reason so many people fight on message boards, in comments, etc. because you act like you know everything and have to point that out whenever possible, it was completely unnecessary for you ...

there we go... didn't know that i actually had to put the tilda in the file name, i thought that was something you just added to shortcut... now i know "~" has a function.

i'm all set now, thanks for the help deathlike

or instead of typing that you could've just explained and avoided being an asshole.

i just switched, i assume that tilda is the part of the file path that's specific to my computer but i still don't know where to start from to paste that... like is it in the lib or bin or usr or what?

so now i upgraded to "GNU/Linux Ubuntu 8.04LTS Hardy Heron" (happy franky?, there's the whole freakin' name.) and i now have no sound... i will attempt the same fix the other guy did and i'll post back.

maybe if i try zsnes -d?

i know that goes into debug, but ill wait for someone with some advice cause i don't really know what i'm doin and i don't wanna screw it up worse.

Problem with zsnes and Linux Ubuntu

Hi, i've been using zsnes for years now on windows, and i jsut recently installed ubuntu on my system, and i was using zsnes for about a week with no problems, but now when i launch zsnes the program will pop up for about a second and then just dissappear like it never existed... it's quite frustrat...
