Re: New cartridge add-ons
I have heard of a new cartridge add-on based on the GeForce Titan. I, for one, cannot wait for this to be added to ZSNES. SMWCentral will probably follow suit by requiring all new hacks to make use of this fascinating new piece of technology. It truly is a great time to be alive. Shouldn't we get t...

Re: ZSNES is not dead - Still in development
Damn, that's a lot of moved posts. I just don't know what to talk about when it comes to ZSNES development because I don't know of any recent updates. Has any progress been made? *puts head back into Tesla coil* How DARE you filthy plebs mock my ancient alien ancestors! It's so obvious that every s...

Re: ZSNES is not dead - Still in development
No one really knows how much work on 2.0 has been done in the past seven years. No one really knows what kind of drugs you've on been on for the past seven years. It's not like we contracted the coding work to aliens or whatever. Maybe we should have, they probably would've been done by now. P.S.: ...

Click! http://i44.tinypic.com/2rx9ocw.png Couldn't have summed this thread up better myself. This isn't a simple derailment, the tracks were pointing to a freakin' cliff. Zsnes is definitely in a catatonic state. No one really knows how much work on 2.0 has been done in the past seven years. ...

Re: ZSNES is not dead - Still in development
Here's an interesting read on Zsnes, make what you will of it :) http://emulation-general.wikia.com/wiki/Zsnes#Review *reads part about bZSNES* *puts his head through the desk* *Places hand on the back of your neck to hold your head after it went through desk* He's right about the audio being...

Re: ZSNES is not dead - Still in development
so.. is ZSNES still in development? Depends on what your definition of "development" is  As of now, hard to say, it's alive last I heard, but how alive, I don't know. As much as I would love to see a version 2.0, I need to be realistic as the coders are busy with life and so on. It ...

Re: ZSNES pixelated
The Snes version is indeed superior, irrespective of the PSX version FMVs, Engrish translation and long loading times (And "Y Burn" instead of "Wyvern" WTF ROFL). As for the graphics pixelation, it could be how Windows 8 handles the APIs differently than how 7 handled them. I kn...

Re: ZSNES pixelated
Lucky guess on my part...? I didn't even know it was reported before. I'll be damned. So what can he do to fix it, if anything at all? Snes9x I know shouldn't have those issues, but he stated his preference as Zsnes, so not really a viable option  I have no idea for a fix (other th...

Re: ZSNES pixelated
As for the graphics pixelation, it could be how Windows 8 handles the APIs differently than how 7 handled them. I know that 7 dropped DirectDraw support, so that can't be an issue, what GPU do you have? And you would be correct on this one. not too long ago , someone reported that windows 8 and ZSN...

Re: ZSNES pixelated
I have problems with ZSNES on Windows 8 too; try 640x480 DR F with HQ 2x; it's the only mode that seems to work for me in FS without tons of slowdown. 9x works just fine, but ZSNES is either crippled by Win8 or my graphics card/drivers. Any emu with DX9+ works perfectly, especially desmunex64 with ...

Re: How well does Link to the Past work on ZSNES
I never claimed to know Japanese, but I thought that version was supposed to be a literal translation; I do like the curse words added considering their situations in the game though. Also Gil, I'm pretty sure you're right about the "harlot" comment, but when he just blurted it out and ca...

Re: How well does Link to the Past work on ZSNES
It's not nearly as censored as FF4, and I'm winging it here. Although some parts slipped though(like that clown saying KILL THEM! on a certain floating body) references to death were edited(put to sleep etc), and of course all the damns, shits(think I remember several of those) etc. PEARL instead o...

Re: ZSNES is not dead - Still in development
Love the CT reference, Alfador. When I asked about the new ZSNES, apparently it's going to use a different save state format, but yeah I love ZSNES for all the SS editors to fuck around with games I've already beaten. 9x actually has better more accurate sound but the sound seems to crack a little ...

Re: ZSNES is not dead - Still in development
So, you are going to say to one of the developers, who posted a reply immediately after your first post, that it isn't in development. Right. Exactly. It was a tl;dr thread title for him, and "not dead" means "dead" apparently /sarcasm. If Zsnes' lack of public activity bothers ...

Re: ZSNES is not dead - Still in development
Zsnes needs alot more advertising that it has an online community. I have been using Zsnes forever, and never knew it was online, or even had forums or anything like a community. Too bad the population is shot. Let's just say people move on to bigger and better things (in this case, other Snes emul...

Zsnes has something very important that snes 9x does not have In zsnes you can chat during netplay pressing a key, .... while in snes 9x you can not, only changing the window ... this is very anoying But Snes9x can butter your toast as well as being able to toast your butter. You didn't know that, ...
