FCEUX 2.0.3

If you're acquainted with the TAS community, then this is probably old news. A new version of FCE Ultra, now known as FCEUX, has been recently released. It is a merge of all of the forks that were created since the original version was discontinued in 2004. Many other improvements have been made, as...

*Nach wipes Nestopia off his hard drive. You can always just disable the database. The main reason the database exists is because the iNES format is insufficient by itself. Plus, there are a lot of dumps floating around with incorrect info in their headers. The database fixes those (and prevents wa...

Even if that is the case, Nestopia gets the ROM info from its internal database (assuming that the database is enabled, which it is by default). Since I.S.T.'s dump is not working right, I assume it's not in the database. Hence, a bad dump.

Edit: It's just Crystalis.
Is your ROM a good dump? It seems to be working fine here.

No, he's using Jnes. I don't think the author of Jnes gives pirate carts a high priority. Besides, Nestopia supports all of the mappers that Jnes supports.

Nestopia is apparently "bloated" m Laughable shit. He has also stated in that thread that there are "several games" that Nestopia doesn't run but that another emulator does. How strange that he has still not yet given even one example. I'd be really interested in knowing what th...

Looks like another great release. For the 2xSaI problem, maybe Marty could implement support for render plugins (just as in Kega, VBA-M, and Regen)?

A listening test for the NES emulators and NSF players would be interesting. It's been far too long since I last played a real NES. I wonder how FCEU and blargg's APU emulator compare to the real hardware?

Fun game. I played this today, and after roughly 2 hours I got to around level 20 and stopped. When I returned later, my progress was somehow deleted. Fortunately, I was able to work my way back to level 20 again in about 30 minutes.

Now I'm stuck on level 23...

how about someone should remake Castlevania 2. Yes, I have always dreamed of a day in which Konami would remake Castlevania 2: SIMON'S QUEST. Every game should be Castlevania: Symphony of The Night. In the Windows version, I noticed that the emulation doesn't pause when the window is out of focus. Same goes for when items in the menu bar are selected. Is there any way to make it do so?

Great emulator, by the way.

In other words, the opinions here may not exactly be representative of the general public. Personally, I t...

No WIPs have been released after 1.51 official, so you're not missing anything. And you can always use ZGet.

I have already attempted a request to put the 2xSai filters back in for future versions on their forums. I surely hope the author reconsiders eventually. Apparently, it is a no go there. Go figure... some time was spent in fixing some of the 2xSAI code in ZSNES, and fixed its use in DOS.. plus merg...
